Oh honey, let me tell you about this Pokemon Go Charizard card thing. It’s all the rage with the young’uns these days. I don’t rightly understand it all, but they sure do get excited about it. Seems like a big deal, this Charizard.
Gotta Catch ‘Em All, Or Somethin’
They’re always talkin’ about catchin’ this and catchin’ that. Pokemon, they call ’em. And this Charizard, well, he’s a tough one to get, they say. You gotta catch a Charmander first. That’s a little orange fella, looks like a lizard with fire on his tail. Then you gotta make him stronger, “evolve” it, they call it. That means, feed him that “candy.” Then you have a Charmeleon. Now, you can’t buy that candy stuff at a market. I can tell you that much. You gotta get it in the game.
My grandson, bless his heart, he’s always on that phone of his. Walkin’ around, starin’ at the screen. He says he’s tryin’ to catch Pokemon. I told him, “You better watch where you’re goin’, you gonna walk right into a ditch!” But he don’t listen. Kids these days, always with their heads in the clouds, or in their phones, I should say.
Charizard, Charizard, What’s the Big Deal?
This Charizard card, it’s like a picture of that big fire dragon. And let me tell you, this Pokemon is a tough one. Everyone wants it. Seems like it’s worth somethin’, this card. Maybe not worth a whole cow, but probably worth a couple of chickens, at least. That’s just my guess. I don’t rightly know the value of these things. But people are willing to pay money for it, that’s for sure.
They got all kinds of cards. Some are shiny, some are not. Some are stronger than others. It’s a whole world of its own. These young people, they can tell you all about it. They can tell you which ones are good, which ones are bad. Like I said, if you have the Charizard card, you are a hero.
- You need that Charmander first.
- Then you gotta get that candy stuff. Don’t ask me how, I don’t know.
- Then you get Charmeleon.
- And then, if you’re lucky, you get that Charizard.
- That Pokemon Go Charizard card is the best one, they say.
More Than Just a Game, I Reckon
It ain’t just a game, though, seems like. It’s somethin’ more. They trade these cards, they battle with ’em. They even spend real money on ’em. Like I said before, I don’t understand it all, but it’s a big part of their lives. And I guess if it makes ’em happy, that’s all that matters. And I don’t think they’re doin’ any harm. They’re not out there gettin’ into trouble, at least. They’re just chasin’ these little Pokemon creatures around.
My grandson, he tried to explain it to me once. He said it’s like collectin’ baseball cards, but with monsters. I guess that makes sense, in a way. People have always liked collectin’ things. When I was a girl, we used to collect pretty rocks and feathers. Now they collect these Pokemon cards. Times change, I suppose. At least this Pokemon Go Charizard card is worth something, I think.
Kids and Their Newfangled Things
These Pokemon Go Charizard cards… they’re somethin’ else. I remember when my kids were young, they were into different things. But it’s always somethin’, ain’t it? Kids always got their fads. Now it’s all about this Pokemon Go. Who knows what it’ll be next? I can’t keep up, and I don’t know about it. But at least you gotta admit this Charizard is a tough one.
I reckon it’s good for ’em, though. Keeps ’em busy. Keeps ’em outta trouble. And it’s somethin’ they can do together. They can trade cards, battle each other, talk about their favorite Pokemon. It’s a way for ’em to connect with each other, I suppose. That’s important, especially these days. Kids need somethin’ to bring ’em together. And if it’s these Pokemon Go Charizard cards, then so be it.
And who knows, maybe one day I’ll figure it all out. Maybe I’ll even try to catch a Pokemon myself. But I doubt it. I’m too old for all that runnin’ around. I’ll just stick to my garden, thank you very much. But I’ll keep an eye on these kids and their Pokemon. And I’ll try to understand what all the fuss is about. Especially about that Charizard card. It’s somethin’ special, that’s for sure.
