This year, that FC 24, I tell you, it’s got somethin’ called UCL Heroes. What a mouthful, huh? Sounds fancy, but I ain’t too sure what it all means. All these new things, it’s hard to keep up. But my grandson, he’s all excited about it. He says it’s like, special cards for the game.
What’s this FC 24 Ultimate Team?
He keeps talkin’ about this Ultimate Team thing. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. He’s always on that computer playin’. He says you gotta collect these cards, like them old baseball cards, but these are for football players, you know? And these UCL Heroes, they’re like the best of the best, I guess. He gets a special card or something, I don’t know. Something about ordering the game early, he did that, always does. My boy, he was always first in line for these games.
I heard him talkin’ to his friends, somethin’ about pre-orderin’ before August 22nd. Got him one of them UCL Heroes for his Ultimate Team. Don’t know what he got, that’s for him to know.
FC 24 Heroes, what’s that?
These FC 24 Heroes, they got different kinds, I think. He showed me some pictures. Looked like comic book characters. You know I love those Marvel comics! Maybe that’s why he likes it so much. They are like superheroes but for football players. Some are for strikers, some are midfielders. Whatever that means. He said they are strong, very good, best to use for his Ultimate Team.
He mentioned somethin’ about leagues and chemistry. Sounds like a science experiment. I said, “Son, just play the game, and have fun!” But he says these UCL Heroes are important. All these FC 24 players are from different places, I think. Some are from the same place, and they work good together. They gotta be in their right spot to be good, he says.

EA Sports FC 24, That’s the Game!
This whole thing, it’s called EA Sports FC 24. That’s the name of the game. It’s real popular, you know. My grandson, he plays it all the time. He’s always talkin’ about it. EA Sports, that’s the company that makes it. I saw it on the TV, the game, it looks real, like real football.
He says these UCL Heroes are new this year. There’s a whole bunch of them. Nineteen, I think he said. That’s a lot. He’s tryin’ to collect them all, I bet. Always need to have the full set, don’t they? These kids and their games.
Getting these UCL Heroes
He was sayin’ somethin’ about gettin’ these UCL Heroes. You gotta do somethin’ special, I don’t remember. Buy the game early, maybe? He did that. He always gets the new game. These FC 24 Heroes, they are hard to get, I think. He’s lucky he got one. Something about a Hero Pack, sounds like a lunch box to me. He said he got a pack, whatever that is, they give it to him on the game or something.
I don’t know much about these video games. But if it makes him happy, that’s all that matters. As long as he’s not gettin’ into trouble. He’s a good boy. He loves his FC 24 and these UCL Heroes. Says these Heroes are better than regular players. That’s good, I guess, means he will win more. That’s all that matters, winning and having fun.
He was talkin’ about some players bein’ better than others. Some are cheap, some are expensive. He wants the good ones, of course. He said some are “op”. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds good. I guess these FC 24 op Hero players are the best for the game. He is always lookin’ for the best. He is smart, that boy. He knows what he is doing.
He’s happy with his UCL Heroes. That’s all I need to know. He can explain all the details to his friends. I just nod my head and smile. These games, they’re somethin’ else. But as long as he’s havin’ fun, that’s okay by me. This FC 24, it’s a big deal, I guess. All the kids are playin’ it. They all want these UCL Heroes. It’s the new thing, you know?
