Oh, you wanna know about them canine pokemon, huh? Well, I seen a few in my time, I tell ya what. Them’s some funny lookin’ critters, but some of ’em are right cute, like real dogs. Here I make a canine pokemon list for ya.
First off, there’s this one called Growlithe. Now that’s a name I can get behind. It’s a little feller, all orange and black stripes, kinda like a tiger but smaller and more like a puppy. He’s number 0058, they say. They say he turns into somethin’ called an “Arcanine” when you use a fire stone on him. Fire stone, can you believe that? And this Arcanine, they call him the “Legendary Pokemon”. Big name for a big dog, I reckon. Heard folks say he’s one of the best dog Pokemon. Must be somethin’ special to get a name like that. 1,615 votes, can you imagine? That’s more folks than live in my whole town!
- Growlithe – little, orange, stripey.
- Arcanine – big, legendary, from Growlithe.
Then there’s this other one, Raikou. Now, that’s a strange name. But they say he’s the best of the bunch. There’s two others, but they ain’t even close, accordin’ to the folks who know these things. Somethin’ about a new Entei with a “Flare Blitz”, but Raikou is always gonna be better, they say. I don’t know ’bout all that “Flare Blitz” stuff, sounds dangerous if ya ask me!
Now, here’s one for ya – Lucario. This one’s a bit different, like some kind of Egyptian dog god or somethin’. They say he’s based on Anubis, which I don’t know, but he’s got finger-like digits. Yeah, that’s the word, digits. He’s a dog with fingers? I tell ya, these Pokemon are somethin’ else. But he’s a good one, they say, loyal and strong. One of the best companions, they say, like a good farm dog, but probably doesn’t chase chickens.
- Raikou – the best, they say.
- Lucario – Egyptian dog god thing, loyal.
And what about this one called Suicune? Now that’s a pretty name. Some folks say he’s the best dog Pokemon of all. I don’t know ’bout that, but he sure looks majestic, like a king or somethin’. He’s probably one of them fancy show dogs, not the kind you’d find rollin’ in the mud.
There’s another called Smeargle. Now, they say he’s a dog, but I don’t know. He’s got a tail like a paintbrush. A dog with a paintbrush tail? What will they think of next? He must be one of them artistic types. Probably paints pictures on the barn wall when no one’s lookin’. It’s a dog, they say, so I guess it makes the list.

Then there’s that Houndoom, sounds a bit scary if you ask me, like the hound of hell. Then you got Zoroark, sounds like a name from one of them picture shows. And Zacian, well, that just sounds like a fancy medicine or something. But they say these are some of the best, too. Best design, lore impact, type combination, and stats, whatever that means. These young folks and their fancy words.
So, there ya have it, a whole mess of them canine Pokemon. Some big, some small, some with fingers, some with paintbrush tails. They’re a strange bunch, but I guess there’s somethin’ for everyone. Just like real dogs, each one’s got its own personality. You got your loyal ones, your strong ones, your pretty ones, and your… well, your weird ones.
If I had to pick, I’d probably go with that Growlithe. He sounds like a good boy. And maybe that Lucario, he seems like he’d be a good protector. But who am I to say? I’m just an old lady who likes dogs, real or otherwise. These Pokemon, they’re somethin’ else, but they sure are interestin’. And I guess that’s all that matters, right? As long as they make folks happy, that’s the important thing. Just like a good dog should.
