This here Pokemon Go game, it’s somethin’ else, ain’t it? All these young folks runnin’ around, lookin’ at their phones, tryin’ to catch them little critters. I don’t rightly understand it all, but my grandkids, they sure do love it. They’re always talkin’ about Pokestops and maps, and I just nod along like I know what they’re on about.
Now, this Pokemon Go map with Pokestops, that’s what they’re always lookin’ at. Seems mighty important to this whole Pokemon Go thing. They say it shows where all the good stuff is. I guess it is like a treasure map, only instead of gold, it is those Pokemon things.
They tell me these Pokestops, they’re places in the real world. Like that old church down the street, or that statue in the park. Places you see every day, but now they got somethin’ special to do with this game. Imagine that! The kids point at their phones and say, “Grandma, look, there is a Pokestop!” and I just chuckle. This Pokemon Go map, always showing where to go.
It can be hard to keep up with all this, I tell ya. Sometimes I feel like I am getting lost in the woods with no map. But it is okay. If the young’uns are happy, then I’m happy. They are always happy when they play Pokemon Go.
My grandson, he tried to show me how it all works once. He said you gotta spin these Pokestops to get things. Balls to catch the Pokemon, he said. And potions to make ’em strong. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but he’s got it all figured out. He knows all about that Pokemon Go map with Pokestops, that is for sure.

I heard them talkin’ about somethin’ called “Golden Pokestops” the other day. They said you can get some special coins there. Gold coins, imagine that! Sounds like somethin’ out of a fairy tale. They said these golden ones only last for a little bit. 15 or 30 minutes, one of ’em said. Gotta be quick to get those coins, I reckon. This Pokemon Go map shows all those special spots, I believe.
And there’s this other thing, a Pokemon called “Gimmighoul,” or somethin’ like that. They say it’s hard to get. You need some other game, somethin’ called “Scarlet” and “Violet,” on that Nintendo Switch thing they all play. Sounds mighty complicated to me. But even if you don’t have that, they say you can still get somethin’ from those golden Pokestops. So that’s good, I suppose.
These Pokestops, they’re everywhere, it seems. They said they’re at places like historical markers. We got a few of those around here. Old signs and such. And monuments, too. Like that big one in the town square. Even at churches. Never thought I’d see the day when a church was part of a video game. My grandson told me that all the time he is checking his Pokemon Go map to see where the next Pokestop is located.
This Pokemon Go map, it is like a guide, ain’t it? Shows you where to go, what to do. Without it, I reckon these kids would be lost. Just wanderin’ around aimlessly. But with that map, they always know where the next Pokestop is. They are always looking at it.
One time, I saw a whole group of them gathered ’round a Pokestop. Must have been twenty of ’em, all starin’ at their phones. They were all talkin’ and laughin’, havin’ a grand old time. It’s nice to see ’em gettin’ outside, I suppose. Even if it’s just to stare at their phones. At least they’re together, right? And they are always using that Pokemon Go map.
This Pokemon Go map with Pokestops is very important to those kids. It’s how they find their way around in this Pokemon world. It is like a secret language that all those kids know, and I am just starting to understand it a little bit. They are always talking about it. That map is a huge part of the game, that is for sure.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about this Pokemon Go and their maps and Pokestops. It is all a bit much for me, but the kids love it. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? As long as they’re happy, I’m happy. I might not understand that Pokemon Go map but as long as they have fun, that is okay. Yep, that’s all that matters. Keep on catching those Pokemon, kids! Just be careful crossing the street.
