You know, this here Madden card creator thing, it’s a real head-scratcher. Back in my day, we just played outside, didn’t need no fancy computers. But I guess times are changin’. Kids these days, they all about these Madden cards. My grandson, he’s always on about it. He says it is a way to make his own football cards. That sounds like a fun thing for kids.
He showed me how it works, this card creator. Says you can put any picture you want on it. You can pick a player, any player, and put their picture right there on the card. He put my picture on one! Silly boy. I told him I ain’t no football player. My grandson says I can create a custom Madden card.
And you can change the numbers, too. Like how good they are at throwin’ the ball, or runnin’ fast. It’s all very confusin’. But I guess if you’re into that sort of thing, it’s pretty neat. You can make a whole team of these custom cards! Imagine that!
- First, you gotta pick a design, they got lots of ’em.
- Then, you gotta put a name on it.
- And a picture, gotta have a picture!
Then these cards, these Madden cards, they do something in the game. Give you a boost, whatever that means. Like you run faster or somethin’. Seems like cheatin’ to me. But hey, I don’t play these games. Back in my day, we didn’t have these things. But I know it is a very popular thing for the young kids now.
They got different colors, too. Bronze, silver, gold. Like medals or somethin’. The gold ones, those are the best. They make your players real good, I guess. My grandson, he’s always tryin’ to get those gold ones. He even can make his own gold Madden card in the card creator. That sounds really cool.
Now, there’s this other thing called “Redux.” Sounds like a fancy word for leftovers. Like when you got old cards, they turn ’em into these Redux things. And they ain’t worth money no more, just somethin’ called “training.” Don’t ask me what that means. It’s all a mystery to me.
My grandson tried to explain it, but it went right over my head. He said somethin’ about “LTD” and “quicksell.” I think maybe LTD is good. I think you can make your LTD Madden card in the card creator. It is something special, I think. But I don’t know what is quicksell. Maybe it means sell it quickly. This is all too much for my old brain.
But you know, these kids today, they love this stuff. They spend hours makin’ these Madden cards, tradin’ ’em, playin’ with ’em. It keeps ’em busy, I suppose. And it’s better than some other things they could be doin’. At least they ain’t out there causin’ trouble.
This whole card creator thing, it’s like a whole different world. A world I don’t really understand. But as long as my grandson’s happy, that’s all that matters. He’s a good boy. He just loves his football and his Madden cards.
I guess I should try to learn more about it. Maybe I’ll ask him to show me again. He likes it when I take an interest in his hobbies. And who knows, maybe this old lady can learn a new trick or two. Maybe I’ll even make my own Madden card. Wouldn’t that be somethin’? A Madden card with my face on it, ha! I bet it would be a gold one, too. The best darn gold Madden card you ever did see!
You can make your players all strong, and fast, and good at catchin’. It’s like magic. But it ain’t magic, it’s just this computer thing. This card creator thing. It is a good thing for people who like the football games.
I still don’t really get it. All these numbers and colors and things. It is too complicated. But the kids sure do love it. And I guess that’s what counts. Keepin’ the kids happy. That’s what we gotta do. To keep them entertained. And if this Madden card creator does that, then I guess it’s a good thing. I think maybe it is a good thing for kids.
