Listen up, you young’uns! This here old gal’s gonna tell ya somethin’ ’bout that 2k24 boosting thing you all’s yammering about. That basketball game, you know? I hear all the young folks talking about this stuff. I don’t know much about these newfangled things, but I hear a lot when they come over. They play it all day, yelling and screaming. I tell ya, it’s a racket!
So, this boosting, it’s like cheatin’, ain’t it? Like when my old man used to sneak extra seeds into the field hopin’ for a bigger harvest. Makes you better at the game, I reckon. Some folks, they say it’s good. They get all them rewards. Others say it ain’t right. Like puttin’ sugar in your tea ‘stead of honey. Just don’t taste the same, ya know?

They talk about this “VC” thing, sounds like some kinda fancy money. You get it for playing that game. They say you can use it to get better players and stuff. It is all hocus pocus to me. Back in my day, we didn’t have none of that. We just played with what we had, and that was that. We worked hard for what we got, didn’t need no fancy “VC” or “boosting” to make us better.
And these “locker codes,” it’s like a secret password, right? You put it in, and you get free stuff. Like findin’ a dollar in your old jeans. Sounds like a good deal, I guess. But I remember a time when you had to earn your keep, not just type in some code. These kids today, they got it easy. Too easy if you ask me.
- “High risk-reward” that sounds dangerous!
- “Low risk-reward” maybe better.
- Get some “skill boosts” to be better, I hear.
This “Trendsetter” thing, sounds like somethin’ them city folk would wear. But it’s for the game, they say. You get it if you play before October 1st. You get that “VC” and some “skill boosts” and somethin’ called a “ruby option pack.” Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me. But the kids seem to like it. I guess it’s like gettin’ a free pie at the county fair. Can’t complain about that, right?
They say these “boosts” are always in the game. Every year, same thing. Like plantin’ corn in the spring. You just know it’s gonna happen. Guess it makes the game more excitin’ for them. Keeps ’em playin’, I suppose. Keeps ’em outta trouble, maybe. Least that is what I tell myself.
This “XP boosts” is like leveling up in those video game things, right? You get more points, you get stronger, faster, whatever. Like when you work out in the fields all day. You get stronger, tougher. But you don’t need no “XP boosts” for that. Just good old-fashioned hard work. These kids don’t know how good they got it.
This whole 2k24 boosting, it’s a mystery to me. But I see how much them kids love it. It must be important to them to be shouting about it all the time. So who am I to judge? If it makes ’em happy, then I guess it’s alright. Just like my old man and his extra seeds. He was happy, even if the harvest wasn’t always bigger. It’s the little things, ya know?
I still think they should go outside more. Get some fresh air, play some real basketball. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady. They wouldn’t listen to me anyway. Just like my old man never listened to me when I told him he was plantin’ too many seeds. Stubborn as a mule, he was. But I loved him anyway.
Maybe these young folks are right about 2k24 boosting. Maybe it is a good thing. Maybe it helps people to learn and grow and get better at things. Maybe I am just too old for this. Or maybe it’s just a bunch of hooey. Who knows? But if you are going to do it, make sure to play fair, and don’t forget to have fun. That is what is important.
Well, that’s all I got to say about that. Time for me to go shuck some corn. You kids have fun with your 2k24 boosting and your “VC” and your “locker codes.” And don’t forget to call your grandma once in a while. We get lonely, ya know? Even us old folks who don’t understand all this newfangled stuff. We still love ya, even if we don’t always show it. And we’re always here to listen, even if we don’t always understand. Now, go on, get outta here! And don’t slam the door! I just got these floors cleaned!
