Now, I heard you gotta get these links from somethin’ called the Tormentor’s Cache. And that’s from them Tormentors of Torghast, over in that Maw place. Sounds spooky, don’t it? The Maw. Like a big ol’ mouth, gonna swallow you whole. And these Tormentors, they ain’t friendly, I’ll tell ya that much. You gotta fight ’em, I reckon. And when you beat ’em, they drop these caches, and sometimes, just sometimes, you get one of them Bahmeth Chain Links.
And you need a whole heap of ’em, too. I heard tell you need like, two hundred of these links. Two hundred! That’s a lot of fightin’, ain’t it? But people are doin’ it, ’cause they want that big ol’ hand. They say it’s worth it. That Hand of Bahmethra, it’s a sight to see, they say. Makes ya feel important, ridin’ around on a giant hand. Like you’re some kinda king or somethin’.
So, you see these folks, runnin’ around The Maw, fightin’ them Tormentors. They’re all after that Chain of Bahmethra. It’s like a gold rush, but with… hand parts. It’s a strange world, ain’t it? But that’s what folks are doin’. They’re collectin’ them links, one by one, hopin’ to get enough to make that chain and get that hand.
- Gotta get 200 Bahmeth Chain Links.
- Fight them Tormentors in The Maw.
- They drop Tormentor’s Caches.
- Links are in the caches, sometimes.
- Then you get that Hand of Bahmethra.
This thing, it only appears every so often. Every couple of hours, I hear. So you gotta be there, right when it happens. Like waitin’ for a hen to lay an egg, but this is a whole lot more fightin’ involved. Ain’t no sittin’ around and knittin’ while you wait for this one. You gotta be ready to rumble. They make a big announcement, so everyone knows when it’s time. Then it’s a free-for-all, I reckon. Everyone tryin’ to get their share of them Bahmeth Chain Links. These caches only drop once a week, per person.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ they got that hand real quick. Like, right away. Lucky ducks. But for most folks, it takes a while. You gotta keep at it. Keep fightin’ them Tormentors, keep openin’ them caches, and hope you get enough of them links. And it’s only got like a 4% chance of droppin’. That ain’t much! Like findin’ a needle in a haystack, but this haystack is full of monsters tryin’ to kill ya. It ain’t for the faint of heart, I’ll tell you that much. But some folks, they’re determined. They want that Chain of Bahmethra.
I even heard about this other thing, a Fallen Charger. That’s another one of them things folks are after in The Maw. But that’s a whole other story. Right now, we’re talkin’ about that Chain of Bahmethra and that Hand of Bahmethra. That’s the prize everyone’s eyein’. The big, crawly hand. Sounds kinda creepy when you think about it too much, but folks sure do want it.
So, if you’re brave enough, and you got the time, you can head on over to The Maw and try your luck. Just remember what I said. It ain’t easy. You gotta fight for it. And you need a whole lot of them Bahmeth Chain Links. Two hundred, to be exact. But if you get ’em, you’ll be ridin’ around on that Hand of Bahmethra, and everyone will know you’re somethin’ special. Or at least, somethin’ crazy enough to fight all them Tormentors for a giant hand.
This whole thing, this Chain of Bahmethra, is just about getting that Hand of Bahmethra. Folks are just wild about it, I’m telling you. It’s the talk of the town, or well, the talk of The Maw, I guess. And if you see someone ridin’ around on that big ol’ hand, you know they put in the work. They fought them Tormentors, they collected them Bahmeth Chain Links, and they finally got their prize. It’s somethin’, ain’t it? This whole thing. Just somethin’. People are strange with their “mounts.”
