Well, well, well, let me tell you about this here MLB The Show 24 game. My grandson, bless his heart, he’s always glued to that darn thing. Now, I hear folks askin’, “Can you request a trade in MLB The Show 24?” Lord have mercy, back in my day, we didn’t have these fancy video games. We just played ball outside ’til the cows came home. But I’ve been listenin’ to my grandson and his friends talkin’ about it, and I think I’ve got the gist.
So, from what I gather, it ain’t like the old days in this game. Used to be, you could just tell your agent, “I’m outta here!” and that was that. But in this here MLB The Show 24, they done took that away! Can you believe it? Seems kinda silly to me. Why wouldn’t you be able to switch teams if you’re not happy? It’s like bein’ stuck in a marriage you don’t wanna be in. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

But don’t you worry your pretty little head, there’s still a way to get yourself traded, but you gotta work for it.
- First off, gotta play real good, like hitting them home runs out of the park, every single time if you can.
- And gotta be fast. Gotta be real fast. Run like the wind, they say. Like you’re chasin’ a chicken that got loose from the coop!
- You gotta show them big-shot teams what you’re made of. Get them scout fellas watchin’ you.
Now, I heard my grandson say somethin’ about a “slider setting” or somethin’ like that. Said you gotta turn it up all the way, whatever that means. But that is an old way. These young folks and their technology, I swear… Anyway, it’s about MLB The Show 24 trade request. You can not do that. But don’t you lose hope, honey. If you really wanna get traded, you gotta make yourself valuable. Like a prized pig at the county fair.
They say the best way is to get your stats up. Whatever them stats are. I reckon it’s like your batting average and all that baseball mumbo jumbo. And you gotta do good in them “Draft Combine drills” and matches. Sounds like a whole lotta work to me. When I was young, we just played for the love of the game. Didn’t need no fancy drills or nothin’.
The main thing is to play good. And keep playing good. If you are good enough, the game will know. If you stink, well, no one will want ya. That is just how it is, child.
My grandson keeps saying it is not fair. Well, life ain’t fair. I told him that. But he said, “It is just a game, grandma.” Still, they should let you ask for a trade. What’s the harm? Can’t request a trade in MLB The Show 24. I think that’s dumb.
So, what do you do? Well, you play. Play every day. Get better and better. Don’t give up. Show them teams you are worth having. Show them you are the best darn player there is.
And maybe, just maybe, they will trade you. If not, you’re stuck. Like a fly in a spider web.
But if I’m being honest, it sounds to me like they made this game a little too complicated. Back in my day, if you wanted to switch teams, you just switched. No fuss, no muss. But I guess times have changed. These kids today, they like things complicated.
I still think it’s a bunch of hooey, though. If a player ain’t happy, he should be able to move on. That’s just common sense, ain’t it? But what do I know? I’m just an old lady who don’t know a thing about these newfangled video games.
But hey, if you really wanna get traded in that MLB The Show 24, just remember what I said: Play good, get them stats up, and show ’em what you’re made of. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll get your wish. Or maybe not, and you’ll just have to learn to like the team you’re on. Like it or not. Because that’s how life is sometimes, and there’s no use cryin’ over spilled milk, as they say. So play hard, and be good. That is about all you can do.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go have a nice cup of tea. All this talk about baseball has made me tired. Good luck, and hope that MLB the Show 24 trade comes your way.
