Well, you know, this Pokemon Go, it’s a thing, ain’t it? My grandkids, they’re always on their phones, running around, yelling about catching these little critters. I don’t get it, but they seem to have fun. Now they talking about this Pokemon Go transform thing, sounds fancy, I think I heard them say this Pokemon thing can change, just like that, well let me tell you about it.
This whole Pokemon Go transform, it’s like when a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. It’s the same bug, but it looks different. Same with these Pokemons, I guess. They start as one thing, and then, bam! They’re something else. They call it “evolving,” sounds like big word to me, sounds very complicated, but I think it just means getting bigger and stronger, like growing up, you know.
Now, how does this happen? I asked my grandkids. They said you gotta catch a whole bunch of the same Pokemon, like filling a bucket with apples. Each one you catch, you get this thing called “candy.” Candy, for a game! Kids these days. But it’s important for this transform thing.

- You get the candy.
- You get enough candy, and boom! Your Pokemon transforms.
I saw it with my own eyes. Little Timmy, he had this little bird Pokemon, a Pidgey, I think. He caught a whole flock of them, like a bunch of sparrows at the bird feeder. He had a whole pile of this Pidgey candy, and then, whoosh! That little Pidgey turned into a bigger bird, a Pidgeotto. Then later, he made it transform again, this time, it turned into a Pidgeot, even bigger and got a fancy haircut on it’s head. This is what Pokemon Go transform about.
And it’s not just for show, you know. This Pokemon Go transform, it makes them stronger for those battles. My grandkids, they tap-tap-tap on their phones, and these Pokemons fight each other. It’s like cockfighting, but on a phone, and less messy. These transformed Pokemons, they hit harder, they last longer, they are way better than before. They’re like a whole new beast.
And I hear them talking about “types” too. It’s like, some Pokemons are good against others. Like, water puts out fire, and fire burns grass. It’s a whole thing. So, this Pokemon Go transform, it sometimes changes the type too. Makes things even more confusing for an old lady like me. But the kids, they eat it up. They know all these types and who beats who. They can spend whole day talking about this.
Now there are some special Pokemon that can transform into many different things, I think my grandkids say it’s called Eevee or something, that one is like a jack of all trades, you collect candy for it, you can turn it into a fire one, a water one, and many other things. So if you want a fire Pokemon, you can do the Pokemon Go transform and get one from this Eevee. That’s something special.
So, this Pokemon Go transform, it’s a big part of this game. You gotta catch ’em all, get that candy, and make your Pokemons bigger and stronger. It’s like raising a garden, I guess. You gotta put in the work to get the good stuff. Except instead of tomatoes, you get fighting monsters on your phone. Kids these days. It’s all about that Pokemon Go transform, if you want your Pokemon to be strong, you need to do it. That’s what those kids told me.
My grandkids also said that there is another type of transform, it only last for a little bit of time, they call it Mega Evolution or something, when you do this temporary transform, your Pokemon become super strong, it’s like a sugar rush, your Pokemon get super powerful, but only for a little bit of time, then they will change back. I think you need something called Mega Energy to do it, not candy this time. So this Pokemon Go transform, there are a lot of different type of them, you need to do some work to understand them.
This Pokemon Go, it’s a lot to take in. But the kids, they love it. And this Pokemon Go transform, it’s what keeps them going. They’re always chasing that next evolution, that next big thing. It’s a bit like life, I suppose. We’re all trying to transform, to become better versions of ourselves. Maybe these kids aren’t so different from us old folks after all, they just want their Pokemon to transform, to become better and stronger.
And I guess it’s good for them to get outside. Even if they are glued to their phones, at least they’re walking around. Better than sitting inside all day, I suppose. And they’re learning something, I guess. About these Pokemons and their types and this whole Pokemon Go transform thing. It’s a different world these days, ain’t it? A world full of Pokemon. But it’s not that hard to understand, even an old lady like me can get the hang of it. Well, maybe a little bit.
But all in all, this whole Pokemon Go transform, I think it’s pretty neat. Makes the game more interesting, I suppose. Even if I don’t fully understand it, I’m glad my grandkids are enjoying it, they are not doing anything bad, just some simple fun, and this Pokemon Go transform, it just make things more fun. Good for them.
