Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here Valorant season endin’. It’s like this, see? You play and you play, and then, bam! It’s over. Just like when you plant them seeds and then gotta harvest ’em.
What in tarnation is this Valorant thing anyway?

It’s one of them shootin’ games the young’uns are always playin’. My grandson, he’s glued to it more than a fly on honey. He tells me all about these “seasons” and “battlepasses” and whatnot. Sounds like a whole lotta hooey to me, but he seems to like it.
- They got these things called “episodes,” see? Longer than a corn growin’ season, that’s for sure.
- And inside them episodes, they got these “acts.” Shorter, like a good rain shower.
Now, this “battlepass” thing, that’s where it gets tricky. You gotta play a whole heck of a lot to get all the goodies. My grandson, he’s always talkin’ ’bout finishin’ his missions. Says he gotta win games and get kills with certain guns. Sounds like hard work to me. Reminds me of haulin’ hay bales all day, but I guess it’s fun for him.
How long does this whole shebang last?
Well, from what I gather, these battlepasses, they last about two months or so. Not too long, I guess. Just enough time to get yer fill and then move on to the next one. Kinda like pickin’ berries, you get all the ripe ones and then gotta wait for the next batch.
And them episodes, they’re the big ones. They last a good long while, plenty of time to climb them ranks and show off yer skills, or whatever the kids say these days.
What happens when the season ends?
That’s when things get all shook up, like a chicken coop in a windstorm. All yer hard work, it gets tallied up, and you get rewards based on how well you did. My grandson, he’s always braggin’ about his rank and all the fancy gun skins he gets. I tell ya, it’s more complicated than milkin’ a cow.
Then they start it all over again. New season, new battlepass, new stuff to earn. It’s like plantin’ a new field every year, always somethin’ new to work towards.
Unlockin’ Agents and other such things
My grandson said something about “Agents.” Said you gotta unlock ’em. Sometimes you get ’em free, sometimes you gotta pay. Reminds me of buyin’ chickens, some you get from hatchin’ eggs, some you gotta buy from the market.

There’s these “Free Agent Tokens” too, he’s always goin’ on about. Said he got some from “Basic Training Event.” Sounds like somethin’ you gotta do to learn the ropes, like trainin’ a new farm dog. You gotta show them what to do before they can help out.
He also said when they release a new one of these “Agents,” they have this thing called an “Agent Recruitment Event.” Lasts a few weeks. If you play a whole lot and get a whole lot of XP, whatever that is, you get the Agent for free. Kinda like workin’ hard to earn extra money to buy somethin’ nice.
Big events and celebrations
They got these big shebangs too, like the “Grand Finals” my grandson was yellin’ about last year. Said it was a big deal, with fancy ceremonies and all. Reminds me of the county fair, everyone gatherin’ ’round to see the best in show.
And just recently, he was talkin’ about somethin’ called the “Valorant Year End Event Pass for 2024”. Said you gotta play to get stuff. Well, ain’t that always the way? You don’t get nothin’ for nothin’, that’s what I always say. Just like workin’ on the farm, you gotta put in the effort to get the rewards.
They also got somethin’ called “Off//Season,” which is when they ain’t in the main season, I reckon. They have these tournaments then too. Sounds like a time to rest up and get ready for the next big push, kinda like lettin’ the fields rest before plantin’ again.
So, what’s the upshot?
Well, this here Valorant season endin’ thing, it’s a whole lot of hoopla, if you ask me. But the young’uns, they seem to enjoy it. It’s their way of havin’ fun, I guess. Just like we used to have our fun back in the day, though ours didn’t involve all these fancy gadgets and gizmos. We just had good ol’ fashioned hard work and maybe a square dance or two on a Saturday night. But times change, I reckon, and folks gotta find their own way to enjoy themselves. Just like them young’uns shootin’ at each other in this Valorant game. As long as they ain’t causin’ no real trouble, I suppose it’s alright.
