Well now, if yer just startin’ out in The Elder Scrolls Online, there’s a few places where ya might be put right at the start. Ya see, they got all kinds of spots where new folks get their feet wet before they go off adventurin’. Some folks say Khenarthi’s Roost is a good place to start if yer wantin’ to get the feel of the Aldmeri Dominion. It’s a little spot, not too big, and there’s only a couple of wayshrines here. Most zones got a lot more, but this one’s simple and good for a start. If ya’re a bit new, you won’t get lost too easily, and the people there don’t bite too hard, neither.
Now, if yer part of the Daggerfall Covenant, ya’ll be startin’ over on Stros M’Kai. It’s a nice place, pretty green, and with a bit of history. You can’t miss it, and the folks there will guide ya through some of the first steps. Ain’t no need to rush, take yer time and learn what ya can before hittin’ the big stuff. They don’t throw ya into the deep end all at once, thank goodness.

If yer lookin’ for somethin’ with a bit of a challenge but still easy enough to get into, then some folks say Bleakrock Isle is a good place. Now that one’s a bit more rugged, a bit more wild, but it’s a good spot to get your legs under ya. Ya see, every zone got its own kinda feel. Some are real peaceful, others got danger lurkin’ around every corner. Bleakrock Isle? Well, it’s got that rugged feel that might give ya a taste of what’s to come.
Once ya get through the startin’ area, the world opens up a bit more. Don’t rush through the quests, though. Take yer time, learn what ya can, and remember, there’s always somethin’ more to see. Whether ya choose Khenarthi’s Roost, Stros M’Kai, or Bleakrock Isle, there’s plenty of ways to get started. It don’t matter too much which one ya pick, as long as ya start and take the time to get familiar with the lay of the land.
One thing to keep in mind when ya first start out in Elder Scrolls Online is that the game is pretty big. So, when yer lookin’ for the main quests, don’t get all flustered tryin’ to figure out where to go first. You can start over in places like Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall, or Davon’s Watch—places where the main quests start up. You can’t really go wrong there, no matter what alliance yer with. Just head to one of those towns, and the questline will take it from there. It don’t matter much which one ya choose, it’ll all come together eventually.
When yer new to ESO, there’s always somethin’ to learn. And let me tell ya, it ain’t always easy, but it sure is fun when ya get the hang of it. Sometimes ya might feel like ya ain’t got no clue where to go or what to do next, but that’s part of the journey. Ya just gotta take it one step at a time, and before ya know it, you’ll be runnin’ around with the best of ’em.
So, as ya start out, just keep yer wits about ya and explore where yer led. Every new place ya visit in ESO’s world can teach ya somethin’ important. Don’t rush, and take in the sights. Whether yer in Khenarthi’s Roost, Stros M’Kai, or Bleakrock Isle, enjoy the ride, and the rest will follow. Just remember, it’s all part of the adventure, and before ya know it, you’ll be an old hand at this game!
