Oh, y’all, let me tell ya somethin’ about that Prisoner ring. Now, I ain’t talkin’ ’bout no fancy weddin’ ring like the ones folks wear to show off, no sir. I’m talkin’ ’bout that Prisoner ring from that game, Elden Ring. Ya know, them folks who play them games with the fancy names and all that? Well, let me tell ya, it’s somethin’ else. Now, don’t get me wrong, I ain’t no expert on them video games, but I’ve seen enough to get the gist of it.
Now, first off, let me tell ya what I know about this here Prisoner class. This Prisoner feller starts off in the game with a pretty good set o’ skills. They got high Intelligence and Dexterity, so they can cast them spells real good and swing them swords fast-like. Not to mention, they ain’t too shabby when it comes to physical strength neither. I reckon that makes ’em a good choice for folks just gettin’ into the game. But let me tell ya, it ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. Ya start out at level 9, which means you gotta be ready to face some tough critters from the get-go. They start off with an Estoc—a fancy sword—and a staff for castin’ them spells. And don’t forget the shield! Every good warrior needs one o’ them, right?

Their clothes, well, they ain’t no fancy silk dresses neither. They wear somethin’ called Prisoner Clothing. Sounds a bit dramatic, don’t it? But this here armor helps keep them safe from the dangers of that world. It’s light armor, which means ya won’t be bogged down too much, but it still boosts important things like Focus and Vitality. That means you can take a hit or two and still keep your wits about ya. And the magical defenses? They got that covered too. So, if you’re the sort who likes to cast spells and run around quick-like, this armor’s a good pick for ya.
Now, I ain’t gonna sugarcoat it: you gotta be careful. Even with all this fancy gear, the Prisoner’s still a little fragile. Ya see, they ain’t got the thickest armor, so if ya don’t watch out, them big ol’ monsters can get ya good. But with a bit o’ practice, you can make ’em work wonders. Some folks like to use ’em as spellblades, mixin’ magic with sword fightin’, and I reckon that works mighty fine if ya know what yer doin’. You just gotta make sure ya don’t get too cocky and rush into battle all willy-nilly, or them monsters’ll make short work of ya.
As for the Prisoner Set, well, that’s a whole nother story. It’s part of that Prisoner clothing I was talkin’ about, and it’s what ya get when ya play as that class. Now, I don’t rightly know where all them fancy items come from, but I’ve heard tell that ya can get the full set from a merchant not too far from the Uhl Palace Ruins, up in the Ainsel River. There’s a Hermit Merchant there who’s sellin’ the stuff. Now, don’t be fooled by the name, they ain’t sellin’ no simple trinkets. This here set includes a Prisoner Iron Mask, which looks like somethin’ out of a horror story if ya ask me. But if yer lookin’ to get all the bonuses, you’ll want this here set for sure.
But hold on now, before you go runnin’ off to get the set, let me tell ya somethin’ else. Ya gotta think about what you’re mixin’ and matchin’. Some people swear by the full set, but others like to mix and match with other pieces to get just the right balance of defense and agility. If you’re too slow with that armor on, them big ol’ creatures will have you for breakfast. So, take yer time and figure out what works best for ya.
Now, if you’re one of them folks who just wants to know about the stats and the bonuses, here’s what I can tell ya: The Prisoner Set gives you a good boost to yer Focus, Vitality, and Magical defenses. That’s mighty handy when you’re up against some of them high-level enemies. But there’s a trade-off. That armor reduces yer damage absorption by a little bit. So, while you’ll be able to take some hits, you still gotta watch out. You can’t be too reckless, even with all the magic and speed on yer side.
At the end of the day, the Prisoner is a good class for folks who want to mix a little magic with their swordplay. Ya get a good balance of quickness and power, though I reckon it takes a bit o’ skill to make it all work right. And if you decide to go for that Prisoner set, well, you’ll have a good bit of protection, just make sure ya know how to use it. Don’t let that fancy armor fool ya—sometimes, ya gotta be quicker than the enemy, not just tougher.
So, if you’re lookin’ to try somethin’ new in Elden Ring, maybe give that Prisoner a shot. But remember, it ain’t all smooth sailin’. Ya gotta keep your wits about ya, or those monsters will eat ya alive!
