If you’re lookin’ to battle this big ol’ icy fella, then you might wanna sit down and pay attention, ’cause I got the lowdown for ya, just like we used to talk about the old ways of catchin’ critters back home. So, here’s the scoop on how to take down that big Kyurem and maybe get yourself a shiny one too.
What’s a Kyurem, you ask? Well, Kyurem is one of them Legendary Pokemon, part of the Tao Trio, if you’ve heard of it. It’s big, it’s tough, and boy, it’s got a whole lot of ice inside it, like a storm in the dead of winter. Now, this critter is one of them that shows up in them five-star raid battles, so you gotta be ready for a real tussle. If you wanna catch it, you gotta beat it first! Ain’t no easy feat, lemme tell ya that.

Now, if you’re wonderin’ when you can go huntin’ for it, well, let me tell ya. From December 23, 2022, all the way to January 1, 2023, you’ll be able to find Kyurem in these five-star raids. And for a whole hour from 6 to 7 p.m., there’ll be even more Kyurem raids at them gyms. So, if you’re serious about catchin’ this icy feller, you might want to time it right and get yourself to a gym around that time.
How do you beat Kyurem? Well, y’all need to have a strong team to take it down. Kyurem’s got them ice-type moves, and it can pack quite a punch if you ain’t careful. So, what do you need? A good mix of Fighters, Rock types, Steel types, and even Dragons. And if you can get your hands on some Fairy-types, that’ll help too! If you’re lookin’ to go solo, well, I’ll tell you, it ain’t impossible but it’s a real hard job. You’d need some real strong Pocket Monsters for that.
- Shadow Metagross: This here’s one of the best ones to use, if you got it. It’s strong, real strong, and will give Kyurem a tough time.
- Steel-types: Pokémon like Dialga or other steel fellas can help with them icy moves Kyurem’s throwin’ at ya.
- Dragon-types: Don’t forget your Dragon-types! You can’t go wrong with dragons when it comes to a Legendary raid.
Now, for those of y’all who might not be ready to take on Kyurem alone, well, you can always get yourself a good team together. From what I hear, you might need at least three folks, all with them level 30+ counters, to get the job done without too much trouble. But, if you wanna be real safe, ya might wanna bring along more folks, just in case Kyurem’s got a few tricks up its sleeve.
Shiny Kyurem? Yep, that’s right! If you’re lucky enough, you might even get yourself a shiny Kyurem while you’re at it. It’s a rare one, sure, but it’s worth the shot, don’t ya think? Not everyday you get to catch a shiny Legendary like this one.
And I reckon, after you get done with that big ol’ battle, you’ll want to know how to catch the darn thing. Well, here’s what I can tell ya: Once you’ve knocked Kyurem down, you’ll be given a shot at tossin’ them Pokéballs. I’d recommend using them Ultra Balls or them special berries, if ya got ’em, to up your chances. Ya never know when it might get away!
Well, there you have it, folks. All the info you need to take on Kyurem in them Pokemon GO raids. Get out there, and don’t let that icy beast freeze ya up! And if you catch yourself a shiny one, well, you’d better let folks know – that’s a real gem right there. Now go on and show Kyurem who’s boss!
