But here’s the kicker: ya can end up with a phony if ya don’t watch out, ‘specially if ya buy it from that Jolly Redd fella who’s known to sell all kinds of art, real and fake, from his little trawler boat. That man, he’s tricky! So here’s how ya tell the real from the fake.
- Real one: It ain’t got no lid on top, just open. That’s how ya know it’s genuine.
- Fake one: If ya see a lid sittin’ on the top, that’s a big ol’ red flag—it’s a fake!
So, what’s a fella or gal to do, huh? Well, ya gotta look close. Take ya time, don’t rush it. The fake one’ll have that lid like I said, plain as day. And if ya ain’t sure, well, best ask someone who knows a bit about it, or look up a guide! They got plenty of pictures out there showin’ ya what’s real and what’s not, so ya don’t end up with a dud sittin’ in ya house.
And why would ya even want this big ol’ statue? I mean, it’s huge! But lemme tell ya, it looks real nice, real mighty.
