Alright, guys, let’s talk about this Marvel Snap Odin deck I’ve been messing around with. I’m no pro, but I’ve had some decent success climbing the ladder with this, so I figured I’d share my experience.
It all started when I was getting wrecked by all these fancy combo decks. You know, the ones that pull off some crazy shenanigans in the last couple of turns? I wanted something that could disrupt that, but also had a strong, straightforward game plan. That’s when I stumbled upon the power of Odin.
Building the Deck
I knew I wanted Odin as the centerpiece, obviously. His ability to re-trigger On Reveal effects is just too good to pass up. So, the first thing I did was look for some solid On Reveal cards.
- Ironheart: Buffing up other cards? Yes, please! I threw her in right away.
- Wolfsbane: More power! Especially useful when played in a lane you’re trying to dominate.
- White Tiger: Adding a Tiger to another location is just great value, especially when you Odin it.
- Gamora: If you can predict where your opponent will play, she becomes a powerhouse.
These were my core On Reveal cards. Then, I needed some support.
- Jessica Jones: If played on curve, she turns into a very strong card.
- Klaw: I needed something to gain power in the location on the right, he is the option.
I also added some other cards that I like, for example, America * can be played to boost your chance for drawing your key cards, she is powerful herself.
The Game Plan
The basic idea is pretty simple: play your On Reveal cards strategically, then drop Odin on turn 6 to double their effects. Ideally, you want to have Ironheart and/or Wolfsbane in a lane, then slam Odin down to pump them up even further. White Tiger followed by Odin can also create a huge swing in power across two locations.
I spent a good few hours just playing game after game, learning the ins and outs of the deck. I quickly realized that predicting your opponent’s moves is crucial, especially when playing Gamora. It’s also important to know when to snap – if you have a good hand and a clear path to victory with Odin, don’t be afraid to go for it!
Also, always plan ahead your turns, do not play cards so freely.
Tweaking and Refining
After playing a bunch of games, I started making some tweaks. Sometimes, you just don’t draw Odin, so you need to be able to win without him. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different cards and see what works best for you.
It’s not a perfect deck, of course. I still run into decks that counter it hard, like those annoying Leech decks. But overall, I’ve had a blast playing this Odin deck, and it’s helped me climb the ranks more than I expected. If you’re looking for something fun and powerful, give it a shot!
