Okay, so the other day I was thinking, “I gotta catch ’em all,” right? But not just the usual suspects in Pokémon Go. I wanted those cool Galar region Pokémon. So, I started digging around to figure out how to actually get them.
My Galar Hunt Begins
First, I fired up the Pokémon Go app, obviously. I mean, that’s step one for anything in this game. Then I started walking, a lot. I figured, like with most Pokémon, the more ground I cover, the better my chances.
I kept an eye out for those special events. You know, the ones Niantic throws every so often? Turns out, a bunch of the Galar Pokémon were more common during some of these. Made sense. Gotta pay attention to those in-game news updates!
- Checked the in-game news regularly.
- Participated in as many events as I could.
Then there are the eggs. I got myself some 7km eggs, because word on the street was that some Galar forms, like Meowth and Ponyta, could hatch from those. So, I started incubating those bad boys and walking even more. My step count was through the roof!
Raids! Gotta do the raids. I teamed up with some friends, and we took down a few raid bosses. Some Galar Pokémon, like Weezing, show up in raids. It’s a good way to get a guaranteed shot at catching one.
The Results?
It took a while, and a whole lot of walking, but I managed to snag a few Galar Pokémon. Got myself a Galarian Meowth, a cool-looking Ponyta, and even a Zigzagoon with that awesome black and white pattern. Still hunting for some of the rarer ones, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
I try to keep the new pokemon in my storage.
Basically, it’s all about staying active, paying attention to events, and working those eggs and raids. That’s my Galar Pokémon-catching strategy in a nutshell!
