Alright, guys, let’s dive into my little project today – getting Marc Gasol into NBA 2K24. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought, so I figured I’d share my experience, you know, just in case anyone else is trying to do the same thing.
The Initial Roadblock
First off, I booted up the game, expecting to find him in the free agents or maybe on a classic team. Nope. Nada. The man was nowhere to be found! My first thought was, “Seriously? 2K, you’re missing a legend!” So, my mission began: I had to get Marc into my game.

Diving into the Creation Suite
Okay, since he wasn’t in the game, I figured I’d make him myself. I jumped straight into the player creation suite. Now, this thing is pretty deep. You can tweak everything, like, seriously everything.
- I started with the basics: height, weight, wingspan – all that good stuff. Got those numbers from some online sources, just to make sure I was in the ballpark.
- Then came the face sculpting. This was…an experience. Let me tell you, trying to recreate someone’s face from scratch is tough. I spent a good chunk of time just fiddling with the nose, eyes, and jawline. It’s not perfect, but hey, it’s recognizable!
- Next, the skills. I remember Marc as a great post player, a solid defender, and a fantastic passer for a big man. So I bumped up his post scoring, rebounding, and passing attributes. I also make him a little lower for steal.
- Finally, the details: his signature moves, his free throw routine, even his celebrations. I tried to match what I remembered from watching him play.
Testing and Tweaking
After I created my version of Marc, I threw him onto a random team and played a quick game. This is where I really got a feel for how he played in the game. I noticed a few things that needed tweaking. His post moves felt a little clunky, so I adjusted those. His defense was pretty good, maybe a little too good, so I toned that down a bit. The idea here is that I get him to be a pretty real one.
The Final Product (for Now!)
After a few more games and a few more tweaks, I’m pretty happy with my created Marc Gasol. He’s not perfect, obviously. It’s still a work in progress, and I’ll probably keep messing with him as I play more. But for now, he’s in my game, and that’s what matters! It’s not so hard but spend more time to make him looks like the real person.
