Alright, guys, so I’ve been diving deep into NBA 2K24 lately, and I just had to mess around with Marc Gasol. I mean, the dude’s a legend, right? So, I wanted to see how he plays in the game and maybe tweak a few things. Here’s how it went down.
Firing Up the Game
First things first, I booted up the game. Gotta get that main menu loaded, you know? Navigated through all the options – MyCareer, MyTeam, all that jazz. My goal was simple: get to the roster and find Big Spain himself.
Finding Marc
I jumped into the roster editing section. It’s usually somewhere buried in the features or options menu. Every 2K is a little different, but you can usually find it pretty easily. There he was, Marc Gasol. Usually listed with his last team, or sometimes in the free agents. I had to scroll through a bit, but that wasn’t a big deal.
Checking Out His Stats
Once I found him, I took a good look at his attributes. You know, the usual stuff: inside scoring, rebounding, defense, playmaking. Gotta see how 2K rates him, right? I always feel like they underrate the older players a bit, but that’s just my opinion, ha!
- Inside Scoring: Checked out his post moves, close shot, stuff like that.
- Rebounding: Obviously, a big one for a center. Boxout, offensive and defensive rebounding ratings.
- Defense: Interior defense, block, steal – the whole nine yards.
- Playmaking: Gasol was always a great passer for a big man, so I paid close attention to his passing accuracy and vision.
Tweaking (If Needed)
This is where I sometimes make some minor adjustments. I’m not trying to turn him into prime Shaq or anything, but maybe bump up his passing a bit, or his defensive awareness. It’s all about making him feel right in the game, you know? It is my game. I will do what I want to do.
Testing Him Out
After all that, the best part: taking him onto the court! I usually jump into a quick play game, just to get a feel for how he moves, how he shoots, how he defends. It’s one thing to look at the numbers, but it’s another to actually play with him.
The Verdict
Honestly, even if the ratings aren’t perfect, it’s just cool to have a legend like Marc Gasol in the game. I had a blast playing a few games, hitting some post fades, grabbing boards, and dishing out some sweet assists. Brought back some good memories!
