Alright, so I finally got my hands on FIFA 23, and of course, the first thing I wanted to do was check out Eden Hazard. I mean, the guy’s a legend, even if his time at Real Madrid hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. So, here’s how my little experiment went.
First, I booted up the game, skipped all the intro stuff, and headed straight to the team selection. Found Real Madrid, no problem there. Then came the slightly trickier part – finding Hazard in the squad.

Digging Through the Squad
I went into the team management section, expecting to see him prominently featured. Nope. He wasn’t in the starting eleven, obviously. So, I started scrolling through the reserves and substitutes. And there he was! It’s Kind of crazy.
- His overall rating? Not as high as it used to be, for sure, but still respectable.
- I think He still has that dribbling stat pretty high, which is what really matters, right?
So, I swapped him into the starting lineup, just for kicks. I mean, I wanted to see if he still had that magic, even in a virtual setting.
Gameplay Time!
I played a quick match against… I can’t even remember who. Doesn’t matter. All I cared about was seeing Hazard with the ball at his feet.
Took a little while to get him in space, but the first time, the first time,I got him on one of those mazy runs, it felt like old times!
Dribbling past defenders, cutting inside, that little burst of pace… it was all there. Obviously, I tried to finesse a shot into the top corner, classic Hazard style.
Missed.
But it didn’t matter! It was just fun to see him moving like that again. I played a few more games, experimenting with different formations, trying to get him more involved.
It’s a mixed bag, honestly. Sometimes he felt unstoppable, other times he kind of disappeared. Just like real life, I guess!
Final Thoughts
So, is Hazard still a beast in FIFA 23? Yeah, in flashes. He’s not the dominant force he once was, but the potential is still there. If you’re a fan, you’ll definitely get a kick out of using him. Just don’t expect him to single-handedly win you every game. It’s a fun little nostalgia trip, if nothing else. That is all I got to share today, thanks for reading.
