Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “timing impact” thing in 2K23, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I wanted to share what I’ve been up to, hopefully, it helps someone else out there.
Getting Started
First, I hopped into a couple of regular games, you know, just to get a feel for how my shots were looking. My release felt okay, but I was bricking way more than I should have been. I knew something was up.
Diving into Practice
So, I figured, “Alright, time to hit the practice court.” I spent a good chunk of time just shooting around, paying close attention to my release timing. I really focused on the visual cues, trying to get that “green release” as often as possible.
- Started with free throws. Got those down pretty consistently.
- Moved on to mid-range shots. This is where things got tricky.
- Then, I tried some threes. Oof, those were tough at first.
Adjusting Settings
I messed around with the shot meter settings a bit. Turned it on, turned it off, tried the different visual options. Honestly, I found that having some kind of visual feedback helped me more than having nothing at all, because feedback helps me quickly adjust.
Experimenting
This is where it got interesting. I started experimenting with different player builds and different shot animations. Some animations felt much easier to time than others. It’s all about finding what feels natural for your playstyle.
Back to Real Games
After a few hours of practice, I went back into some online games. And guess what? My shooting percentage went way up! I was still missing shots, of course, but it felt like I had much more control. I was hitting greens more often, and even my slightly early/late releases were going in more consistently.
My Takeaway
So, my big takeaway from all this is that timing really matters in 2K23. It’s not just about having a high shooting rating. You gotta put in the time to practice your release and find what works for you. It’s a grind, for sure, but it’s worth it when you start seeing those buckets fall.
I’m still working on it, always tweaking and trying to improve. Hope sharing my experience can be helpful for others, that’s all!
