Alright, guys, so I’ve been messing around with different defensive playbooks in Madden, trying to find one that really clicks with my playstyle. It’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you!
Experimenting with Different Playbooks
I started out by just picking random playbooks, you know, seeing what felt good. I tried the 4-3, the 3-4, even some of those hybrid ones. Some were okay, some were straight-up trash for me. It really depended on the kind of players I had on the field and what formations the other team was throwing at me.

Finding my defensive style
I quickly realized that I’m more of a, how should I put it… a “bend-but-don’t-break” kind of guy. I like to keep things in front of me, force the other team to make mistakes, rather than going for those all-out blitzes all the time. It’s more about reading what’s happening and reacting, you feel me?
Finding the Right Fit
So, I kept digging, trying out different playbooks, paying attention to the formations and the types of plays available. It’s a grind, for sure, going through all those menus and trying to remember what worked and what didn’t.
finally found it
Then finally I tried Multiple D playbook, I was finally able to execute perfectly.
- First,I went into the settings and choose my playbook.
- Second,I started a game.
- Third,I adjusted my defensive formation.
With these steps I was able to perfectly execute my defensive *, figuring this stuff out takes time, but it’s worth it when you finally find that perfect playbook that lets you lock down the other team. Keep experimenting, keep practicing, and you’ll find what works best for you!
