Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Lodle” thing pop up all over my feeds, and figured I’d give it a shot. It’s basically Wordle, but for League of Legends champions, right? Sounds simple enough. Here’s how my first few (okay, maybe more than a few) attempts went.
First Try: Total Guesswork
I jumped in blind. No strategy, just pure, unadulterated guessing. I picked a champion I play a lot, Ashe. I figured, hey, why not start with a familiar face?
The results? A big, fat pile of nope. Everything was red. Gender, position, species… you name it, I got it wrong. Clearly, my “go-to” champion wasn’t the key here.
Second Attempt: Narrowing it Down
Okay, lesson learned. Time for a slightly more strategic approach. I looked at the categories: Gender, Position, Species, Resource, Range Type, Region, and Release Year. My brain was already hurting.
I went with Miss Fortune. She’s a marksman at least. It got me partial credit, the game showed me that my champion was released earlier, and that’s the only clue i get.
Getting Warmer… I Think
Alright, progress! At least I had something to work with. I started thinking about champions who fit the “Range” and the resource type.
Next, I tried Vayne. Some green, some still red. Feeling a little better, the region is still wrong, and she released later than the answer.
The “Aha!” Moment (Finally!)
After several more failed attempts, and a lot of frustrating head-scratching,I tried to think a champion released early.
I finally gave a shot on Tristana.
- Gender: Correct!
- Positions: Correct!
- Species: Correct!
- Resource: Correct!
- Range Type: Correct!
- Region: Correct!
- Release Year: Bingo!
Boom! Got it! It felt good, ngl. Turns out, my random stabs in the dark eventually led me to victory. The key, I guess, is to combine a little bit of game knowledge with a healthy dose of trial and error. And maybe a dash of luck.
So yeah, that’s my Lodle experience so far. Definitely a fun little brain teaser if you’re a League fan. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a daily streak to maintain…
