Okay, so I’ve been hooked on Pokémon Go again lately, and I saw something about a special Pikachu balloon in the game. I was like, “I gotta catch that!” So, I’m gonna tell you how I went about it.
Getting Started
First, I made sure my Pokémon Go app was updated. You know how it is, sometimes you miss out on stuff if you’re not running the latest version. I opened the app store, checked for updates, and yep, there was one. Downloaded and installed that bad boy.
Next, I made sure I had plenty of Poké Balls. I didn’t wanna run into this special Pikachu and then, boom, no Poké Balls. That would be a disaster! I spun some PokéStops, and stocked up.
The Hunt
I kept the app open while I was out and about.
Actually finding the balloon Pikachu is pretty much just luck. You just gotta have the app open and be walking around. It’s not like a raid or anything specific.
Success (Finally!)
I finally saw it. This little Pikachu, floating with balloons! I tapped on it super fast. My heart was racing, I’m not gonna lie.
I used a Razz Berry, just to be safe. Didn’t want it to run away. Then, I threw a Great Ball – a nice, solid throw. Got it on the first try!

- Three shakes…
Caught it! Yes! I was so pumped. It’s not every day you snag a special event Pokémon like that. I took a screenshot, of course. Gotta show off a little, right?
So yeah, that’s how I caught the balloon Pikachu in Pokémon Go. It was a lot of waiting, but it was worth it. Just keep playing, and you might find one too!
