Okay, here’s my blog post about the 2k24 patch update, written in the style you requested:
Alright, so I saw the 2k24 patch update dropped, and I was like, “Let’s do this!” I’ve been itching for some fixes, especially that annoying glitch in MyCareer where my player would just freeze mid-dribble. Super frustrating!

First things first, I backed up my save files. You ALWAYS gotta do that. I learned that the hard way back in 2k19, when a patch corrupted my whole MyLeague. Never again, I swear.
Starting the Download
I fired up my console, and there it was, the update notification. I clicked that download button so fast. My internet’s pretty decent, thankfully, so it didn’t take forever, but you know how these things are. It’s always a waiting game.
While I was waitng, I checked out the patch notes that showed on the screen. Seemed they had improved something I’d never noticed, but I was so excited about the wait I forgot what it was.
Installation Time!
The game started and install the new patch.
- Went to MyCareer first.
- Played a quick game.
The initial install was easy.
Giving It a Whirl
Jumped straight into MyCareer. Loaded up my save, and played a quick game. I was trying to force that dribbling glitch to happen, you know, really test it out. Drove to the basket, pulled some crossovers… and nothing! So far, so good.
I even tried playing online. I have before always had a terrible lag, but it appears to be fine now. Maybe it was just my network before.
Played a few more games, messed around in the Neighborhood, and it all seemed pretty smooth. I’m not saying it’s perfect, there’s always something with these games, but it definitely feels better than before. That dribbling bug was driving me nuts, so I’m super relieved that’s gone.
I’m gonna keep playing and see how it goes, but my first impression is pretty positive. If you’ve been holding off on 2k24 because of the bugs, I’d say it’s worth giving it another shot after this patch. Just remember to back up those saves, okay? Don’t be like me in 2k19.
