Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this idea of a “Bendy and the Ink Machine” crossover. I’m a huge fan of the game, and I started thinking, “What if Bendy showed up in another game’s world?” It’s a fun idea I think, then I started.
First, I brainstormed some games.I chose 5 games. I have listed them below.
- Little Nightmares
- Cuphead
- Don’t Starve
- Poppy Playtime
- FNAF
Next up, I grabbed my sketchbook and started sketching. Just rough ideas, you know? Nothing fancy. I drew Bendy facing off against Six from “Little Nightmares.” It looked… kinda weird. Bendy’s all cartoony, and Six is this tiny, creepy kid. The styles clashed, but it was a start.
Then I moved to “Cuphead.” That seemed like a better fit, style-wise. I sketched Bendy and Cuphead doing that classic cartoon finger-gun pose at each other. That one, I actually liked. It felt like they could actually exist in the same universe.
After that, I tried “Don’t Starve.” It’s got that creepy, hand-drawn vibe. It looked very cool.I pictured Bendy as one of the shadow creatures, all twisted and inky. Maybe he’d be a boss you have to fight? Or maybe he’d just wander around, messing with your sanity. Either way, it worked!
Poppy Playtime” was a no-brainer. Both that, and “Bendy,” have those creepy, abandoned toy factory settings. I doodled Huggy Wuggy and Bendy, just kinda staring at each other. Maybe they’re friends? Maybe they’re about to throw down? I couldn’t decide.
Lastly, I tried with FNAF. It’s got that similar indie horror setting, with that 90s cartoonish vibe. This really matches well with the Bendy.
So, that’s where I’m at right now. I’ve got a bunch of sketches, some good, some… not so good. I think I’m leaning towards the “Cuphead” or “Don’t Starve” crossover, just because the styles mesh better. I am going to try more.
