Okay, so I wanted to mess around with Genesect in Pokemon, specifically changing its type using the different Drives. I’d heard about this “douse drive” thing and wanted to see it in action. So, I fired up my game and got started.
First, I needed a Genesect. Luckily, I had one from a previous event. If you don’t have one, you might need to trade or find someone hosting a raid or something. Anyway, I pulled my Genesect out of the PC box.
Getting the Douse Drive
Next, I needed the Douse Drive itself. I remembered reading somewhere that you get it from a specific NPC, so I started searching around. Honestly, I spent a good chunk of time just flying around, talking to random people. It was kind of a pain.
Eventually, after a lot of trial and error, and perhaps a little help with some online searching, I found the guy who hands out the drives. He was just chilling somewhere and I was like I found you!。
Using the Douse Drive
With the Douse Drive in hand, I went back to my Genesect. It was pretty simple from there. I just opened up my bag, found the Douse Drive, and used it on Genesect. Boom! Its Techno Blast move changed to a Water-type move.
- Step 1: Got my Genesect.
- Step 2: Searched all over for the Douse Drive.
- Step 3: Found it! (Finally!)
- Step 4: Used the Douse Drive on Genesect.
- Step 5: Techno Blast is now Water-type!
It’s a pretty cool mechanic, being able to change a Pokemon’s move type like that. I’m planning to experiment with the other Drives (Burn Drive, Chill Drive, Shock Drive) to see how they work too. It is much more fun!
