Alright, folks, let’s talk about how I finally got this “Burn Drive Genesect” thing figured out. It was a bit of a head-scratcher, but we got there!
The Initial Confusion
So, I’d heard about this special Genesect that you could get with different “Drives” that change its Techno Blast move type. I was like, “Cool! I want that!” But, like, how? I did some digging, and honestly, the information out there was kinda all over the place. Some people were saying one thing, others were saying another. It was messy.
Digging In
First, I made sure I actually had a Genesect. Sounds obvious, I know, but you never know! Luckily, I had one from a past event, so I was good to go. Phew!
The Hunt for Drives
Next, I started my hunt for a “Burn Drive”.
I went and spoke to a few different NPCs that were supposed to have the drives.
Experimenting (and Failing a Little)
Okay, so I had the Genesect, I got a “Burn Drive” finally, it was time to make things happen.
I went into my bag, found the Burn Drive, and used it on my Genesect.
Success!
- Go to your Bag.
- Find the “Burn Drive”.
- Select the Drive and choose “Use”.
- Select the Genesect that is not holding an item to use it.
And that’s it! My Genesect now has the Burn Drive and after a few tests I verified, the “Techno Blast” is a Fire-type move. Pretty neat, huh?
