Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately, and like many of you, I’m obsessed with filling up my museum. Redd, that sneaky fox, finally showed up on my island again, and he had the Wild Painting Right Half. I’d been burned by Redd before, so I knew I needed to be extra careful.
First things first, I pulled out my phone. Gotta have my trusty real vs. fake guide ready! I usually use one of site, that shows side-by-side comparisons. It’s a lifesaver, seriously.

The Scrutiny Begins!
I walked up to the painting in the game and examined it really closely. Then i have to open my phone look the * biggest thing everyone talks about with the Wild Painting Right Half is the color of the creature in the bottom right corner.
- Real: The creature is supposed to be white.
- Fake: The creature is blue.
I looked, and looked, and looked again. Honestly, sometimes it’s hard to tell with the lighting in Redd’s tent! But I was pretty sure it looked white. My heart was racing a little – was this finally it? Was I going to get a genuine piece for my museum?
I took a deep breath and bought the painting. It’s always a gamble with Redd, you know? You just have to cross your fingers and hope you didn’t get scammed.
The Moment of Truth
The next day, the painting arrived in the mail. I ran to my mailbox, grabbed the package, and sprinted to the museum. Blathers, that adorable owl, took the painting from me for appraisal.
He studied it for what felt like forever… and then… he declared it was REAL! YES! I did a little victory dance right there in the museum. Blathers probably thought I was crazy, but I didn’t care. I finally had a genuine Wild Painting Right Half!
So, the key takeaway here, folks, is to always, always double-check those details, and to have the correct guide! Don’t trust Redd at face value. Good luck with your art collecting, everyone!
