So, I saw this thing popping up about League of Legends Split 2, figured I’d dive in and see what’s up. It’s supposed to kick off with patch 14.10, around May 15th, so, naturally, I wanted in on that action right away.
First things first, I fired up the game. Made sure everything was updated, you know, the usual pre-game ritual. Gotta have that smooth, no-lag experience, especially when everyone’s scrambling to get their rank up in a new split.

Getting Ready
I spent some time poking around the client, looking for any official announcements or timers. Just trying to get a feel for when things would actually kick off. Sometimes those “official” dates are more like… suggestions, right?
- Checked the client.
- Checked LoL official website.
The Grind Begins
Once the patch dropped, I jumped straight into ranked. Now, I’m not gonna lie, the first few games were a bit of a mess. Everyone’s trying out new stuff, figuring out the meta, it’s chaos. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? The wild west of a new split.
I tried to stick with my mains, the champions I’m comfortable with. But I also experimented a bit, because you never know what hidden overpowered pick might emerge. You gotta stay adaptable.
Lessons Learned (So Far)
It’s still early days, but I’ve definitely noticed a few things. Some champions feel stronger, others weaker. The game feels… different. It always does after a big update. I watched several matches first.
It is interesting to watch the change of top players.
It’s a learning process, figuring out the new flow of the game. But that’s what keeps it fresh, keeps me coming back. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some more ranking to do!
