Alright, folks, let’s dive into how I figured out this whole trade request thing in MLB The Show 24. It wasn’t immediately obvious, so I poked around a bit, and here’s the lowdown from my experience.
Getting Started: Road to the Show
First, I jumped into “Road to the Show.” That’s where you create your player and, you know, try to make it to the big leagues. I played through a bunch of games, trying to up my player’s stats and make him look good. I figured that a better player would be more likely to get traded, right?

Making the Request
Then, I went digging through the menus. Here’s the deal:
- I Navigated to “My Ballplayer.”
- I Found the “My Career” section.
- I went to “Options”.
- I clicked “request a trade”.
After a game, I went to my player menus. under the “My Ballplayer” tab.
And finally there it was, plain as day “request a trade.” I clicked on *, trade request submitted!
The Waiting Game (and Some Tips)
Now, it’s not instant. I had to wait a bit, simulated a few games, and kept playing well. Here’s what I noticed that seemed to help:
- Keep Playing Well: Seriously, the better you perform, the more likely a team will want you.
- Be Patient: It might take a few in-game days or even weeks for the trade to go through. Just keep grinding.
I did not get my trade request after sumbitting but after about a week of in-game playing my agent finaly calls me and asked about what team I wanted to go to.
So, that’s my experience with requesting a trade. It’s pretty straightforward once you find the option, but you gotta put in the work on the field to make it happen. Good luck, and hopefully, you’ll end up on your dream team!
