Alright, so I wanted to get some new players on my team in MLB The Show 24. I’d heard requesting a trade was the way to go, but I wasn’t exactly sure how. Figured I’d share my experience figuring it out, step-by-step.
Getting Started: Road to the Show
First, I hopped into “Road to the Show” mode. That’s where you create your own player and guide them through their career, right? Seemed like the logical place to try and force a trade.

Playing and Waiting…and Playing Some More
I started playing games, trying to boost my player’s stats. I figured a better player would be more likely to get traded, or at least have the option show up. I played a good chunk of games, like, more than a dozen, maybe closer to twenty. I was hitting well, pitching decently – you know, doing my best.
Checking in with My Agent
During this time, I kept an eye out for any interactions with my player’s agent. I think it was after a particularly good series, my agent finally called! He asked about my goals, and that’s when I saw the option.
Finally, the Trade Request!
My agent gave me the option to select what i want.
- Request a Trade– Just like it sounds, you can request trade.
Boom! I clicked “Request a Trade” and the agent guy said he’d get to work. After that, it was just a waiting game, and I got traded.
So, that’s it! It takes a little patience and playing, but requesting a trade in MLB The Show 24 is all about getting to that agent conversation in Road to the Show. Keep playing, keep your stats up, and that option should pop up eventually.
