Okay, so I’ve been getting absolutely wrecked by Lillia in my games lately. It felt like no matter who I picked, she’d just prance around, put me to sleep, and then BOOM, I’m dead. So, I decided to buckle down and figure out who actually counters this deer-lady.
My Initial (Failed) Attempts
First, I tried my usual comfort picks. You know, the champions I thought I was good at.

- Assassins: I figured, “Hey, I’ll just jump on her and burst her down!” Nope. Zed, Talon… got totally kited and out-sustained. She’s surprisingly tanky, and that constant movement speed makes it impossible to land skillshots.
- Bruisers: Okay, maybe I needed someone who could stick to her. Tried Darius, Garen… still no dice. She’d just dance around me, chipping away at my health while I slowly but surely got whittled down.
- Mages: “Long-range poke should do the trick!” I thought. Wrong again. Xerath, Ziggs… couldn’t even touch her. She’s too fast, and my spells are too slow.
I was getting seriously tilted. It felt like playing against an unkillable, sleep-inducing machine.
Digging Deeper
After losing, like, five games in a row, I decided to actually do some research. I started by looking at champion stats and win rates against Lillia.
Then, I read some forum posts and watched a few high-ELO streamers. It turns out, I wasn’t the only one struggling! Many players are in my shoes.
The “A-Ha!” Moment
Through all my digging, a few champions kept popping up as consistent counters:
- Olaf:His ultimate (Ragnarok) is good for him, He can’t be disabled.
- Master Yi::Same with Olaf, Yi can get lots of damage from his Q, and also his W reduce lots of Lillia’s damage.
- Warwick: His kit seems designed to stick to slippery targets, and his sustain can match Lillia’s.
- Irelia: This was a surprise, but apparently, her mobility and burst potential, when played well, can shut down Lillia before she gets rolling.
Putting it to the Test
I decided to try out some of these “counter” champions, keeping in mind what I’d learned. I focused on:
- Early Game Aggression: Lillia is apparently weaker early, so I tried to invade her jungle and deny her farm.
- Picking the Right Runes: Things like “Tenacity” to reduce the sleep duration were key.
- Building Against Her: Magic resist items, especially ones that grant movement speed or slow her down, were a must.
And guess what? It actually started working! My next few games, I played Olaf and Warwick, specifically focusing on shutting down Lillia early. I had to adapt my playstyle, be more aggressive, and really focus on tracking her in the jungle. It wasn’t easy, but it was way better than before.
My Conclusion (So Far)
Lillia is still a strong champion, no doubt. But she’s not unbeatable. It’s all about picking the right champion, playing smart, and adapting your strategy. I’m still learning, but I finally feel like I have a fighting chance against the prancing menace. I’m gonna keep practicing these counters, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll finally stop getting put to sleep so much!
