Okay, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with Armored Core VI and this whole crossplay thing. I’ve got a buddy who’s all about his Xbox, while I’m firmly in the PlayStation camp. We were hoping to team up and, you know, blow some stuff up together. So, I started digging.
First, I jumped into the game itself. I poked around the menus, looking for anything that even hinted at cross-platform play. Nothing. I mean, there’s a multiplayer mode, which got my hopes up for a second, but it seemed pretty self-contained.

Then, I hit the internet. I scoured forums, Reddit, and some gaming news sites. Basically everywhere I can search.
My findings?
It is a big old NO on the crossplay * out, Armored Core VI doesn’t support crossplay at all.
- No PlayStation to Xbox.
- No PC to consoles.
- Just no mixing of platforms, period.
My friend and I cannot play together unless we are in the same systems. I am on PlayStation, my firend plays with Xbox, so It is impossible for now.
It’s a bummer, I know. I was pretty disappointed too. It felt like a missed opportunity. I mean, who wouldn’t want to team up with friends, no matter what system they’re on? But, that’s the way it is, I guess. Maybe they’ll add it in the future, but for now, we’re stuck playing with folks on the same platform as us.
