Okay, so I’ve been trying to climb the ranked ladder in League, and I’ve found that split pushing can be a super effective way to carry games, especially when your team is, shall we say, less than cooperative. So I went on a mission to find the absolute best champions for the job.
First, I jumped into a bunch of normal games to get a feel for different champions. I wanted someone who could really smash towers and hold their own in a 1v1, maybe even a 1v2 if I got ganked.
The Testing Phase
- I tried a few of the usual suspects, you know, the ones everyone always recommends. Some were okay, but they didn’t quite have that “unstoppable force” feeling I was looking for.
- Some champions were great at dueling, but they were slow at taking down towers.
- Others could shove waves fast but felt super squishy if the enemy jungler showed up.
Then, I stumbled upon some info online that pointed me towards three champions: Urgot, Yorick, and Sion.
I decided to give them a shot, and boy, was I impressed!
I started with Urgot. This guy is a beast. I learned to used his W, which is toggled, make wave clear so easy, and his dueling potential is insane. I could just walk up to towers, tank a few shots, and melt them down. Plus, his ultimate is great for finishing off low-health enemies trying to defend.
Next, I played some Yorick. Honestly, I used to think this guy was kind of boring, but holy moly, he’s a split-pushing monster. I quickly figured out his Maiden of the Mist is the key. Once I got that, I could just send her down a lane, and she’d practically take towers by herself. And if anyone tried to stop me, well, let’s just say they had to deal with me and my ghouls. It wasn’t pretty (for them!).
Finally, I gave Sion a whirl. This undead juggernaut is just relentless. I focused on using his Q to clear waves super fast, and his ultimate is amazing for escaping ganks or engaging on enemies trying to stop my push. I felt like an unstoppable train, just plowing through towers and anyone who got in my way. I successfully realized my split-push by Sion!
After all that testing, I can confidently say these three are my go-to split pushers. They just have everything you need: wave clear, dueling power, and the ability to take objectives quickly. If you’re looking to climb the ladder with split pushing, definitely give these champions a try. You won’t be disappointed!
