Okay, so I’ve been trying to get my hands on a PS Portal, but man, it’s been tough! These things are selling out faster than I can blink. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and set up a stock alert system. Here’s how I did it:
Finding a Reliable Tracker
First, I needed to find a website or service that could actually track the stock of the PS Portal. I tried out a couple of browser extensions, but honestly, they were kinda flaky. They would give me false alarms, and I don’t need to jump at my phone for a “maybe”.

Getting Real-Time Notifications
I needed more up-to-date information. So, I dug around and found a few websites that are good at these sorts of things. One was good, but i needed something that was more pushy about notifications.
Setting Up the Alerts
This is the important part. I made sure to enable notifications. The whole point is to get notified immediately. I entered my email and even set up some options for sound alerts, so I would hear a chime when there’s some action.
The Waiting Game (and Success!)
Then came the hardest part: waiting. I kept my phone close, and my computer on, with the notification volume cranked up. It took a few days, and a few false alarms (turns out, some sites list “bundles” as being in stock, even if the Portal itself isn’t). But finally, I got the alert!
I clicked on the notification as fast as I could, added the PS Portal to my cart, and checked out. I have to say, it felt like I completed some video game level with this.
My Two Cents
If you’re also trying to snag a PS Portal, don’t give up! Setting up these alerts is totally worth it. It takes some patience, but the feeling of finally getting that “in stock” notification and successfully checking out is amazing. Good luck, and happy gaming (eventually)!
