Alright, so I’ve been messing around with the Haymaker shotgun in Warzone, trying to find a decent loadout. Here’s what I did.
First, I unlocked the Haymaker. I think you get it at level 39 or something like that. Its default state is… okay, but not amazing.

My Experimentation Process
I jumped into a few Plunder matches to test it out. That way, I could respawn quickly and get back into the action. I started with no attachments, just to get a feel for the base weapon.
- The fire rate is pretty good, which is what you want with a shotgun.
- But the range… oof. It’s really close-quarters.
- And the recoil, especially without attachments, kicks like a mule.
Then, I started slapping on different attachments, one by one. I’d play a few lives, see how it felt, and then tweak it.
I tried a bunch of different muzzles, barrels, and stocks. The laser sights, I figured, are important to help when the gun is up in the air.
I am still tweaking the loadout but I am on the way to making this shotgun viable.
