Alright, so I finally got my hands on “The Last of Us Part II Remastered – WLF Edition”. Been waiting for this one! Here’s how the whole thing went down, from pre-ordering to actually playing.
The Hunt for the Pre-Order
First off, snagging this thing was a mini-battle in itself. I knew I wanted the WLF Edition, with all the extra goodies. I started by checking all the usual suspects – you know, the big online retailers.

I refreshed those pages like a madman, day after day. Finally, I saw one retailer pop up with a “Pre-Order Now” button. Clicked it so fast I almost broke my mouse!
Unboxing Day!
Fast forward to release day. The package arrived, and I swear I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. I carefully sliced open the box, and boom – there it was. The steelbook case looked awesome. Inside, I found:
- The game, obviously.
- A mini art book.
- A set of enamel pins.
- Some patches with the WLF logo.
- And a thank you letter from the developer Naughty Dog.
I spent a good hour just admiring everything. The art book is fantastic, full of concept art and behind-the-scenes stuff. The pins and patches? Super cool, might slap one on my backpack.
Diving into the Game
Then came the moment of truth – time to actually play. I popped the disc into my console, installed the game. The intro sequence started, and I was immediately sucked back into that world.
The graphics are noticeably improved, even compared to the original PS4 version. Everything looks sharper, more detailed. The environments are insane, and the character models…wow. They’re so expressive, it’s almost unsettling.
I’ve only played a few hours so far, but I’m already hooked. The story is just as gripping as I remember, and the gameplay feels even tighter. The new “No Return” roguelike mode seems pretty cool. It’s tough, but in a good way.
Final Thoughts (For Now)
So, was the WLF Edition worth it? For a huge fan like me, absolutely. The extra collectibles are great, and the remastered game itself is phenomenal. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. You won’t be disappointed. I think it’s a very good game for me.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back in. Gotta see what happens next!
