Alright, guys, so I’ve been messing around with Mega Charizard X a lot lately, trying to figure out the absolute best moveset for this beast. I mean, this thing is a monster, but you gotta have the right moves to really make it shine. So, here’s what I did and what I found.
My Experimentation Process
First, I jumped into a bunch of online battles. Just threw Charizard X in there with some random moves I thought were cool. Yeah, that didn’t go so well. I got wrecked a few times, which, you know, is part of the process. Gotta learn from your mistakes, right?
Then, I started looking at what other people were using. I checked out some forums, watched some videos… you know, the usual. I saw a lot of different opinions, but a few moves kept popping up. So, I made a list of the most popular choices:
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
I started trying out different combinations. I’d swap one move out, see how it felt, swap another, and so on. I played a TON of battles, keeping track of what worked and what didn’t. It was a grind, but hey, gotta put in the work if you wanna be the best, am I right?
My Findings and The Moveset
After all that experimenting, here’s the moveset I landed on, and why I think it’s the best:
- Dragon Dance: This is HUGE. Boosts your Attack and Speed, making Charizard X even scarier. Get a couple of these off, and you’re sweeping.
- Flare Blitz: This is your main STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) move. It hits like a truck, even though it has recoil. Worth it.
- Dragon Claw: Your other STAB move. Reliable, consistent damage. Good for hitting those Dragon-types.
- Earthquake: For my game playing, coverage is the most important,This hits those pesky Steel-types that resist your Fire and Dragon moves. Super important.
So, that’s it! That’s the moveset I’ve had the most success with. I’ve been climbing the ladder, winning way more battles, and generally feeling like a boss. Of course, you can tweak it to your own playstyle, but I highly recommend giving this a shot. Trust me, your Mega Charizard X will thank you.
