Alright, so I wanted to spice up my desktop with some cool Fortnite Battle Pass backgrounds. I’ve been grinding through the seasons, and I figured, why not show off some of that sweet, sweet loot on my screen?
Finding the Goods
First things first, I needed to find the actual images. I started off just hitting up Google Images, you know, typing in stuff like “Fortnite Season [whatever number] background” or “Fortnite [skin name] wallpaper.” This worked okay, but it was a bit of a mixed bag. Some were low-res, some were just screenshots, and some were fan art (which is cool, but not exactly what I was going for).

Digging Deeper
Then I remembered some of those awesome loading screens you get in the game. I thought, “Those would be perfect!” So, I started searching specifically for “Fortnite loading screen backgrounds.” This was a much better approach, I could get offical resources.
Getting them On My Desktop
Now that I had a nice little collection of images, it was time to actually put them on my desktop. I’m on Windows, so this was pretty straightforward:
- I downloaded the images I liked and put them all in a new folder. Just made it easier to keep track of them.
- Then, I right-clicked on my desktop and chose “Personalize.”
- Under “Background,” I selected “Slideshow.”
- I browsed to the folder where I saved all my Fortnite backgrounds.
- I set the “Change picture every” option to something like 30 minutes, so I’d get a fresh background fairly often.
And boom! My desktop was instantly way cooler. Now, every time I minimize a window, I get a little reminder of my Fortnite journey. Pretty sweet!
Extra Tip
One thing I might try later is setting up different backgrounds for different virtual desktops. If you’re on Windows, you can have multiple desktops (like one for work, one for gaming), and you could have different Fortnite backgrounds for each one. Just a thought!
