Alright, so today I decided to really dig into the Bulldog in Valorant. I’ve been seeing it pop up more and more in my matches, and I figured it was time to give it a proper go myself.
First, I jumped into the practice range. Gotta get a feel for the basics, right? I started with some simple target practice, just getting used to the recoil pattern. It’s got a pretty manageable vertical climb, but it definitely kicks a bit.

Next, I worked on burst firing. The Bulldog has that three-round burst mode, and I wanted to see how effective it was. I practiced tapping the fire button quickly, trying to keep my shots tight on the targets. It took some getting used to, but I started to see the potential. It’s pretty deadly at medium range if you can land those bursts consistently.
- Recoil practice: Focused on controlling the vertical climb.
- Burst fire practice: Worked on landing those three-round bursts.
- Movement and shooting: Tried to incorporate strafing and crouching while shooting.
After the range, I hopped into a few unrated matches. This is where things got real. I quickly learned that the Bulldog isn’t a spray-and-pray kind of weapon. You gotta be deliberate with your shots. I tried to play it at medium range, using cover and peeking corners to get the drop on enemies. It isn’t always the best pick for every scenario, but when it shines it feels good.
I also experimented with the ADS (aim down sights). It definitely helps with accuracy, especially at longer ranges. I found myself using it more and more as the matches went on. I even landed my first ever ace with a perfect headshot from using ADS, it felt so good!
My Final Thoughts
Honestly, it’s a solid weapon. It’s not gonna replace the Vandal or Phantom for me, but it’s a great option for those eco rounds or when you need something that can handle both close and medium-range engagements. You just gotta be patient and make those shots count. And don’t forget to practice that burst fire!
