Okay, so I’ve been trying to get this “double kick Terrakion” thing down in Pokemon, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I’m no pro, but I like to think I can hold my own. So, I saw this strategy online and thought, “Hey, that looks cool, I wanna try it!”
The Basic Idea
Basically, the whole point is to use Terrakion’s ability, Justified, to boost its attack, then get off two powerful kicks. I’m not sure what i’m doing, but I’m making progress.

My First Attempts (aka Epic Fails)
First, I bred a Terrakion. That took a while, getting the right nature and IVs. My fingers got tired of mashing a * came the training. I used a bunch of online data to figure some of the training out, which was a pain.
My first few battles were… rough. I kept getting one-shotted by faster Pokemon. I was like, “What am I doing wrong?!” I forgot all about speed control. Big mistake.
Tweaking the Strategy
So, I went back to the drawing board. And went online for advice again. I realized I needed a partner Pokemon to help Terrakion out. Something to redirect attacks, or maybe set up Tailwind for speed. I messed around with a few options, like a Follow Me user, and even tried a support Pokemon with Prankster to get Tailwind up fast.
I also had to think about Terrakion’s moveset. Obviously, it needed Close Combat. That’s the big, strong kick. But what else? I played around with Rock Slide for some spread damage, and even considered Protect to stall out for a turn.
Practice, Practice, Practice
Then it was just hours of battling. Seriously, hours. I tried different team combinations, different movesets, different items… you name it. I slowly started to get the hang of it. I learned when to switch, when to attack, and when to just take the hit.
- Finding the right partner: This was key. I needed something that could survive long enough to support Terrakion.
- Getting the speed right: Tailwind, Trick Room, whatever it took, I had to make sure Terrakion could move before the opponent.
- Choosing the right moves: It wasn’t just about Close Combat. I needed coverage, and maybe a way to protect Terrakion.
Finally… Success! (Sort Of)
I’m still not perfect. There are still some matchups that give me trouble. But I’ve definitely gotten better. I’ve actually managed to pull off the double kick a few times and completely wipe out the other team. It felt amazing.
It’s all about timing, prediction, and a little bit of luck. But hey, that’s what makes Pokemon fun, right? I’m still learning, still experimenting, but I’m definitely having a blast trying to master this double kick Terrakion strategy.
