Okay, so I’ve been playing a lot of Pokémon Go lately, and I was super stoked when I heard about Galarian Ponyta appearing. I mean, who doesn’t want a pastel, cotton-candy-looking unicorn horse? So, I set out to catch one myself, and I figured I’d share my experience.
Getting Started
First thing I did was, well, open the app! I made sure I had plenty of Poké Balls. Don’t want to run into this beauty and not be able to catch it. I also stocked up on berries – Razz Berries, mostly, because I wanted to boost my chances. Better safe than sorry, right?

The Hunt Begins
I started walking around my neighborhood. I usually hit up the local park because there are a bunch of PokéStops there, and where there are PokéStops, there are usually Pokémon. I popped an Incense too, hoping to lure some extra Pokémon my way, including, hopefully, the Galarian Ponyta.
- Walk around the neighborhood.
- Check around park and popular local places.
- Use Incense.
The Encounter
I must have walked for a good hour, catching the usual Pidgeys and Rattatas, when suddenly… there it was! A Galarian Ponyta, right there on my screen, all pastel and glorious. My heart skipped a beat. I tapped on it, and the encounter began.
I immediately tossed a Razz Berry. Gotta make sure this one doesn’t run away. Then, I took a deep breath and threw a Great Ball – not taking any chances. It shook once… twice… three times… and YES! Gotcha! Galarian Ponyta was caught!
Victory!
I was so pumped! I immediately checked its stats, and while it wasn’t a perfect IV, it was still pretty good. I’ve always admired its fluffy-looking design. And best part is, it’s pretty strong. Can’t wait to evolve it into a Galarian Rapidash. All in all, it was a successful hunt. It took some time and walking, but it was totally worth it.
I even took some screenshot, feeling happy.
Keep on playing, trainers! It’s all about patience and a little bit of luck!
