Alright, guys, let’s talk about the Haymaker in Warzone. I’ve been messing around with it, trying to find a loadout that actually shreds. It’s a shotgun, so you know, close-quarters is where it’s supposed to shine, but I wanted to see if I could make it a little more versatile.
First, I started by slapping on the XRK Righteous Long Barrel. My thinking was, “Okay, I need a bit more range, maybe I can catch people off guard.” Plus the recoil reduction, which is useful for spamming shots if needed.

Next up, I went with the Bruen Bastion Angled Grip. Gotta keep that recoil in check, you know? And the aim walking steadiness is not that bad, let’s me move around more smoothly while i’m shooting. I tried some other underbarrels, but this one felt the most consistent for controlling the kick.
For the magazine, I was torn. More rounds are always tempting, but the 12 round is slow me down. So, I started with the 12 Round Mag and I could spray more, but the reload was painful. Finally, I Decided to stick with the 12 round mag.
The stock was a no-brainer for me. I put the No Stock mod on right away. Makes the gun feel a lot snappier when you’re aiming down sights and sprinting, which is super important for a close-range weapon like this.
And finally, the ammunition. I tryed the Slug. The range is better, but it’s tough to hit and the spray is not so good. I decided to go with the regular buckshot.
So, to recap, here’s the full loadout I ended up with:
- Barrel: XRK Righteous Long Barrel
- Underbarrel: Bruen Bastion Angled Grip
- Magazine: 12 Round Mag
- Stock: No Stock
- Ammunition: 12 Gauge Shell
It’s definitely an improvement. I was getting more consistent kills, even at slightly longer ranges than I expected. But honestly, you’ve still gotta play to the Haymaker’s strengths. Don’t try to snipe with it, use corners, rush the ememies.
