Okay, so I wanted to get the best setup for Australia in F1 24, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. Here’s how I went about it:
First, I jumped into Time Trial mode. Gotta get a feel for the track, right? Albert Park is a fun one, but it can bite you if you’re not careful. Plenty of fast corners and some tricky braking zones.

I started with the default setup, just to see where the car was at naturally. Did a few laps, pushing it a little harder each time. Noticed right away the car was a bit understeery, especially in those long, sweeping corners.
Tuning the Car
- Front Wing Angle First thing, increased the front wing angle by 2 clicks. Wanted more grip at the front.
- Rear Wing AngleNext reduced the rear wing angle by 1 click. I needed more top end speed.
- Anti-Roll Bars Softened the front anti-roll bar a bit, and stiffened the rear. This helped the car rotate better through the corners.
- SuspensionNext, I lowered the front suspension a bit and increased the rear a bit.
- Tyre PressureLowered the rear tire pressures a little bit which made it good.
Kept tweaking and testing, tweaking and testing. It’s all about finding that sweet spot, you know? Took some time, but I slowly started to feel the car coming alive. The understeer was mostly gone, and I could really attack the corners with confidence.
Finally, after a good hour or so of fiddling, I was pretty happy with the setup. I was consistently putting in faster lap times, and the car felt much more predictable. It’s not always about the fastest single lap, but about how consistently you can put in good times. That’s what wins races, right?
