Alright, guys, so I wanted to figure out how to request a trade in MLB The Show 24. I’d been stuck on the same team for a while in my Road to the Show career, and I was itching for a change of scenery. Here’s how I went about it, step by step.
Getting Started
First things first, I loaded up my Road to the Show career. You gotta be in your career mode to even start thinking about a trade.

Navigating the Menus
Once I was in my career, I went to the main menu. I remember it took me a few seconds to find it, It’s my player section in the top left pod.
- I clicked on “My Ballplayer”.
- Then I See “My Career” option.
Finding the Trade Request Option
This is where it got a little tricky. I had to enter my player hub by going to my career. I clicked around a bit before I found what I was looking for. I eventually found it under:
- At your player hub go to the top right.
- Click “Options”.
- Click “Request Trade”.
Making the Request
I remember I select the “Request Trade” option. I think at first I thought there must be some sort of “Are you sure?” prompt, but it just went straight into the request. And that’s it!
Now, here’s the thing. I noticed that there is no indication that you have requested a trade. I hoped to get traded pretty quickly, but I also know that it might take some in-game time for the team to actually process the request and find a suitable trade partner. It’s not instant noodles, you know? You gotta be patient. I started playing a few more games, hoping to see some movement soon.
The Waiting Game
So now,I played my next few games. Kept grinding, kept performing well, all in hopes of making myself a more attractive trade target, I guess. It’s all part of the process, right?
