Okay, so I finally decided to chase down that Straw Hat in Sea of Thieves. I’d seen it floating around on other pirates, and, well, I wanted it. Badly.
Getting Started
First, I logged in to the game. No big surprise there, right? But then I had to figure out where to even begin. I poked around the menus a bit. Not much luck. It wasn’t like a regular clothing item you just buy.
The Hunt Begins
I jumped into a game with my usual crew. We sailed around for a while, doing the usual stuff – digging up treasure, fighting skeletons, you know, pirate things. I asked my crewmates if they knew anything about the Straw Hat. One of them, bless his cotton socks, had a vague idea.
- “I think it’s something to do with those commendations,” he said, scratching his virtual beard.
- “Commendations? Which ones?” I asked, getting my hopes up.
- “Dunno, mate. Something about… Tall Tales, maybe?”
Diving into Tall Tales
Tall Tales! That sounded promising. I remembered doing a few of those a while back. I opened up the Tall Tales section in my menu and started browsing. After some serious eye-strain, I hit the point, and found it is related with commendations. I figured out that I had to complete a specific commendation.
Grinding It Out
Now, this wasn’t a quick thing. I had to go to commendations page, and go through the list, and I find that I need to complete specific tall tale.
I spent what felt like forever in that commendation. Replaying it, because it takes time to complete those commendations. And then, Finally!
The Reward
With the commendation complete, the game finally coughed up the Straw Hat. I rushed to the nearest clothing chest and slapped that bad boy on my pirate’s head. Worth it! It looked glorious, even if I do say so myself.
So, yeah, that’s how I got my Straw Hat. It was a bit of a pain, but hey, what’s a pirate’s life without a little adventure?
