Alright, so the other day I was messing around with FIFA 21, and I decided to really dive into Federico Valverde’s stats and see what makes him tick in the game. I’ve always thought he was a solid player, but I wanted to get a better handle on how to best use him.
Digging into the Stats
First thing I did was fire up the game and head straight to Real Madrid’s roster to check out Valverde’s profile. I was looking at everything – pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defending, and physical. You know, the usual stuff.

I spent some time just scrolling through his attributes. Noticed his stamina was pretty high – that’s a big plus, means he can run all day. His passing stats were decent, not world-class, but good enough to get the job done. Shooting was okay, nothing special, but his pace and dribbling caught my eye.
Testing Him Out in a Few Matches
So, after I got a feel for his stats, I started a few exhibition matches. I just wanted to see him in action. I tried playing him in a couple of different midfield positions – central midfield, defensive midfield, and even a bit on the wing.
I really focused on how he felt on the ball. Was he quick enough to get away from defenders? Could he make those crucial passes under pressure? How was his tackling?
- First Match: Played him as a CM. He did alright, made some good runs, but I felt like I wasn’t really maximizing his potential.
- Second Match: Tried him as a CDM. He was surprisingly effective here, breaking up plays and winning the ball back. His stamina really shined.
- Third Match: I experimented with him on the right wing, but, he seems to be more fitted as a central player.
My Conclusion (So Far!)
After those few matches, I kind of got a better sense of how to use Valverde in FIFA 21. He’s not going to be your star goal scorer, but he’s an incredibly valuable workhorse. To me, he is that engine in midfield. He can run, tackle, and distribute the ball pretty effectively. He’s best in the center.
I think the key is to really take advantage of his stamina and his decent tackling stats. He’s the kind of player you want to be constantly moving, pressing the opponent, and winning the ball back.
So, that’s my little experiment with Federico Valverde in FIFA 21. Still more to learn, maybe I’ll tweak some formations and see if I can get even more out of him. Always fun to tinker!
