Okay, so I’ve been playing a lot of Animal Crossing lately, and I got it in my head that I needed a yard full of yellow hyacinths. I don’t know why, I just did. So, here’s how I went about making that happen, and it was a bit of a journey, let me tell you!
Getting Started: The Basics
First, I needed to get my hands on some hyacinths. I checked Nook’s Cranny, you know, the shop. Some days they have them, some days they don’t. It’s totally random, which is annoying.

- Checked Nook’s Cranny daily for hyacinth seeds. It is important!
Planting and Waiting… and Waiting…
When i get seeds finaly I planted the red and white hyacinths in a checkerboard pattern. I made sure there was a space between each flower so they could, you know, “do their thing.”
I watered them Every. Single. Day. I made sure the soil looked all sparkly and nice.
The Frustration Sets In
I waited and waited and nothing. I had some orange ones from before that i planted with my white ones and still nothing.
It felt like forever, and I was starting to think my game was glitched or something. Seriously, I was getting so many other colors, but no yellows!
Finally, Success!
Then after some days, BAM! Little yellow buds started popping up. I was so excited! I kept watering those babies, and eventually, they blossomed into full-grown yellow hyacinths.
So yeah, that’s how I got my yellow hyacinth garden. It took some time, and a lot of patience, but it was totally worth it. My island looks so cheerful now! Now, if only I could get those blue roses to grow…
