Okay, let’s talk about my experience with money luck in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
So, I’d heard whispers about this “luck” thing affecting how many Bells you can get, and I was like, “Okay, gotta figure this out.” I started by paying attention to Katrina, the fortune teller. Whenever she showed up, I made sure to visit her.

Getting My Fortune Told
The first few times, I got some confusing fortunes, not really about money. But then, one day, Katrina said something like, “Your luck with money will improve.” I was stoked! That was my cue!
Putting the Luck to the Test
- I went straight to my money rock. Usually, I’d get a decent amount, but with the good luck fortune? Whoa! It felt like way more Bells were popping out.
- I shook all my trees. Normally, you get a few hundred Bells, some furniture, and those annoying wasps. But this time? More Bells than usual, and it seemed like fewer wasps!
- I even went fishing. I can’t say for sure if it made a huge difference, but I did feel like I was catching rarer fish more often, which sell for more.
The Purification Ritual
Sometimes, Katrina would tell me I had bad luck. In that case, I had to do the purification ritual. It cost 10,000 Bells, which felt like a lot, but I figured it was worth it to get rid of the bad juju.
The Results
Honestly, after paying attention to Katrina and my luck, I really felt like I was making more money in the game. It’s not a guarantee of getting rich quick, but it definitely seems to give you a boost. I made it a part of my daily routine: check fortune, hit the money rock, shake trees, and maybe do some fishing if I felt like it.
It might all be in my head, but it felt like a fun little system to play with, and it definitely kept me coming back to Katrina to see what my fortune would be each day. I have been making lots of money in game recently!
