Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure of hunting down Charmander in Pokemon GO. It wasn’t exactly straightforward, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
My Charmander Chase
First things first, I fired up the Pokemon GO app. I mean, that’s the obvious first step. Gotta start somewhere!

I initially wandered around my usual spots – you know, the park, the local shops, the places where I usually catch a decent mix of Pokemon. I figured Charmander, being a fire-type, might hang out in warmer, drier locations. I thought about places with, like, concrete, maybe?
I Spent a good hour, maybe two, just walking around. I caught a few Pidgeys, a Rattata or two… the usual suspects. But no fiery little lizard to be seen. It was kinda frustrating, not gonna lie.
Digging Deeper
I remembered something about nests potentially rotating, so it hit me: my regular spots might not be Charmander hotspots anymore. Time to change up the strategy.
Then, I jumped to looking at nearby gyms and poke stop. I was try to looking for the Charmander icon, but it hard to see because they were too many and too small.
Finally, Some Fire!
I finally stumbled upon a park I hadn’t been to in ages. And there it was! A little cluster of Charmander, all huddled together on the map. I almost did a little victory dance right there.
I rushed over, heart pounding a little (don’t judge, it’s exciting!), and started tapping away. The first one popped up, I tossed a berry, then a Great Ball… and bam! Got it! I felt like a real Pokemon Master, I’m not even kidding.
I managed to snag a few more Charmander in that same area before they seemed to disappear. Must have been a temporary little gathering.
I caught four Charmander and get the candy, then I try to make it evolve, and it finally become a Charizard!
Lessons Learned
- Patience is key: Sometimes you gotta wander a bit. Don’t give up if you don’t find what you’re looking for right away.
- Mix it up: Don’t just stick to your usual haunts. Explore new areas!
- Keep an eye out: pay attention to the map, look at the nearby.
So, that’s my Charmander story. Not exactly rocket science, but hopefully, it gives you a few ideas on where to start your own search. Good luck, and happy hunting!
